The La Bravoure Region (Present) opens up after starting the Darkness in the Desert story arc and completing the Alltrades Abbey storyline.
This area is home to Metal King Slimes, which are stronger than regular Metal Slimes, making it ideal for high-reward farming.

Once you’ve collected enough Grey tablet fragments and unlocked the second Grey Tablet, the Hubble Region (Present) becomes accessible.
The Metal King Slimes here are larger and more challenging than their normal counterparts in other regions, so make sure your party is well-prepared before attempting to farm them.

Metal Slimes, in general, do not spawn on the overworld on their own. Instead, they will spawn as additional enemies during battle. You will have to keep battling monsters in the area in order to find the Metal King Slime.
Ruff's Whistle can force encounters without needing to run into enemies in the overworld. This is a much quicker method for farming, especially if your party is overlevelled and your Field Strikes instantly defeat enemies before the battle even starts.

Multi-hit and area-of-effect attacks offer a more consistent way to damage Metal Slimes. Metal Slimes are notoriously very elusive, and can be hard to hit . They also tend to run away if you take too long to defeat them.
Using AoEs gives you a greater chance of landing a strike. You can also use skills that can hit enemies multiple times in one turn, dealing massive damage before they have the chance to escape.

Landing a critical hit makes it more likely to defeat Metal King Slime. There are a lot of Vocation Skills that can increase the odds of a critical hit such as Knuckle Sandwich and Fatal Flash.
You can also equip the Hammerhood Heart on a party member, which boosts the wearer’s critical hit rate by 10%.

Aside from the massive EXP boost, the Metal King Slime also drops a Metal King Heart. The Metal King Heart increases the odds of encountering Metal Slimes when equipped. This is extremely useful for Metal Slime farming.
