The Gyan has been named by the playerbase as one of those must-have mobile suits, and they're not wrong given how useful it is in Arena.

It's best known for its ability to draw opponent aggro towards Armored units for 15 seconds, or until no Armored units remain, whichever comes first. This makes it extremely useful in PvP as it draws the attention away from its allied DPS units and onto its tanks, allowing them to freely attack and use their EX skills without fear of retaliation. Its value in enabling DPS carries to do their thing is unmatched, hence its immense popularity and status as a must-have and meta-defining mobile suit.

Gyan Best Builds and Teams

Synergizes Extremely Well With Current Meta Units

The Gyan synergizes well with the best units of today's meta. Defensive juggernauts like the Penelope and The-O will welcome the entire squad of units sent their way by the Gyan while extremely high DPS units like the Zeong, Yellow Sazabi, and Zeta Gundam, all benefit greatly from the window of opportunity the Gyan presents them.

With the right units alongside the Gyan, you can defeat teams with over a million CP greater than yours.

The Gyan can be obtained via the Event Mobile Suit Assembly Banner for 300 Diamonds per pull, and 3000 Diamonds for every 10-pull. The banner will only be available until Christmas day, December 25, 2024. Given its must-pull status, try to secure at least one copy of the Gyan before the banner ends.

M'Quve increases the Gyan's accuracy by 17%, max HP by 10%, and stacking ranged sense that maxes out at 120%, which is big for a Support unit, all on top of having the 18% EX gauge recovery buff granted to Support units.

However, having M'Quve is not essential to seeing success with the Gyan. He's great if you intend on having the Gyan deal more damage, but most people would use it solely for its supportive capabilities.

If you don't have M'Quve, that's perfectly fine as all the other Support pilots do well as a substitute pilot for all the other Support mobile suits, thanks to the 18% EX gauge recovery buff they grant. However, if you don't have one of these yet, it might benefit you to pull for M'Quve if you have the Gyan.

These two units are the only other mobile suits that draw aggro away from their teammates and onto themselves. However, this taunt only lasts for 8 seconds, which is only a little longer than half of the 15 seconds the Gyan buys its allies. Additionally, these two units aren't nearly as good as the top defensive units in the game, so they won't last nearly as long as teams with Gyan/Penelope or The-O.
