The best IVs for Garcia are +Atk and -Res. Atk is a superboon and boosts Garcia's already high base 49 Atk stat to base 53, giving him great offensive power. He will need every stat point here as without an exclusive skill, he is lacking compared to better alternatives.

Garcia's Res is a clear dump stat at only base 20 and should be taken as a bane as it won't impact any of his matchups.

Garcia is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Garcia Strengths

Min-Maxed Stat Spread

Garcia's base stat points are all invested in the correct spots, giving him an amazing stat spread of 50/49/41/44/20. His 41 Spd is somewhat wasted against the fastest metagame foes, but it is high enough to prevent follow-up attacks against foes that do not invest in Spd.

Base 50 HP and 44 Def makes Garcia excel in physical bulk, and the base 49 Atk allows him to also hit hard at the same time.

Hexblade Axe+ grants Terrainwalk and Hexblade

Garcia's inheritable Hexblade Axe+ grants him unit cannot be slowed by terrain (does not apply to impassable terrain) and 【Hexblade】 at the start of each turn.

In combat, Hexblade Axe+ grants Garcia Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 and bonus true damage equal to 10% of his Atk.

While not as good as exclusive or even Arcane Axes, Hexblade Axe+ provides enough to be worth using on a budget.

Garcia Weaknesses

Lack of Unique Skills

Garcia suffers from not having any unique skills to call his own, making him unable to stand out amongst other units.

Axe Infantry units are quite abundant in the game, especially with free-to-play options in the Grail Shop. Lacking an exclusive weapon makes Garcia replaceable by better units.

Low Res

Garcia's low base 20 Res leaves him vulnerable to magic damage.

While he has a high base 50 HP, he may still fall from heavy magic attacks. Keep him away from strong mages to ensure his survival!
