Neutral IVs by default!

As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Dagdar will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.

+Def / -Res

The best IVs for Dagdar are +Def and -Spd. As a frontline tank unit, Dagdar is best served with Def investment to improve his physical bulk. His Atk is already high, however, without any exclusive skills to call his own, he will struggle to deal reliable damage against modern units that have true damage reduction effects on their kits.

Res is Dagdar's least important stat and can be safely taken as a bane as it won't impact any of his matchups against magical foes.

+Def for a +10 merge

We recommend +Def when merging Dagdar up to +10 to maximize his bulk. He will need every point of investment to withstand attacks against fully invested metagame units.

How to Use, Explanation

This budget build uses Dagdar as a frontline unit. Two Bonus Doublers stack with his Atk/Def Oath 3 to improve his Atk and Def stats, while Quick Riposte creates a follow-up attack.

Dagdar is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Dagdar Strengths

Reversal Axe+ inflicts variable penalties onto foe

Dagdar's inheritable Reversal Axe+ grants him Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 during combat and inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res penalties onto his for equal to twice their current visible bonuses for each stat.

This in-combat Panic effect essentially reverses his foe's bonuses, inflicting enough penalties to offset the bonus and lower them further.

This effect stacks with the traditional 【Panic】, and when combined, inflicts massive debuffs to the foe's stats in combat.

Dagdar Weaknesses

Lack of Unique Skills

Dagdar suffers from not having any unique skills to call his own, making him unable to stand out amongst other units.

Axe Infantry units are quite abundant in the game, especially among Heroic Grail units, and lacking an exclusive weapon makes Dagdar replaceable by better units.

Obtain through a Grand Hero Battle

Dagdar is a Hero who, for a limited time, can be obtained through completing a Grand Hero Battle for the first time. They do not appear in regular summons. After the event has ended, they can be obtained by using Heroic Grails.
