When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Atk/-Res

The best IVs for Cherche are +Atk and -Res. A +Atk IV maximizes the damage she deals with her double-hit weapons. As mainly an offensive unit, increasing damage is a no-brainer so you should take this IV whenever possible. Spend Trait Fruits if you need to!

Her Res is very low and is of less importance so it is safe to take as a bane.

+Atk for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Cherche to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. With +10 merges, Cherche's Atk stat will reach 57. This maximizes the abilities of Cherche and allows her to take out a wide variety of opponents in one player phase. If you prefer a boost in her ability to trigger the special effect of Cherche's Axe, you can go for a +HP instead.

This skillset uses the refined version of Cherche’s Axe. Multiple Atk/Def skills are used in order to boost Cherche's damage output as much as possible.

How to Use, Explanation

This build uses the +Def weapon refinement for Cherche’s exclusive weapon skill. Odd Atk Wave 3 and Death Blow 4 (or 3) will maximize her Atk power so she can destroy many foes. If Heavy Blade is in effect, her Special Skill will trigger easily, allowing her to obliterate foes in one hit. Thanks to her high Def, Quick Riposte will make it easy for her to gain a guaranteed follow-up attack.

We recommend the Special Effect Refine for Cherche's Axe

The special effect refine for Cherche's Axe grants a built-in effect identical to Panic Ploy 3. It converts units' bonuses in Cherce's cardinal directions into penalties, meaning all positive stat boosts turn into negative stat reductions. This affects all units in spaces above, below, to the right, or to the left of Cherche. With her fairly high HP, this is a powerful effect for Cherche, since it is easy for her to debuff many enemy units with lower HP. This skill is a hard counter to teams running Blade tomes! Those units are highly reliant on buffs to increase their attack power and this skill neutralizes all that if Cherche wins the HP check. If you need more HP, try slapping a Sacred Seal like Squad Ace A 3 onto Cherche.

The HP requirement also makes a 5★ Cherche a good candidate for Summoner Support as she greatly benefits from the +5 HP.

A double hit from Cherche's Axe on a severely weakened opponent does not sound good for opposing teams. Take advantage of this effect in the Arena where countless of buffs are present on defense teams.

Cherche is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Cherche Strengths

High Atk stat!

Cherche's Atk is at a base 38. This synergizes well with the effects of Cherche's Axe as the weapon grants her a second strike similar to a Brave Axe+! We recommend increasing her Atk further by inheriting skills like Death Blow 4 or Life and Death 4.

38 Atk, is without the weapon. If mentioned weapon is equipped, her Atk will be at 49.

Dishes out heavy damage to armored foes

Cherche's weapon skill Hammer+ deals a ton of damage to armored units. Being able to plow through high defense units could be said to be her strength when using this weapon.

Access to a powerful special effect refine

Cherche's Axe will have a Panic Ploy 3 effect upon a special refinement. If it triggers, it severely weakens teams that rely on buffs. A unit weakened by Panic Ploy is very vulnerable to getting taken out by a high-powered weapon such as Cherche's Axe. You can read more about this effect in the weapon refine section

Pivot is a useful movement-assist skill

Cherche' native assist skill is Pivot. It can be used to help her engage enemies or escape from threats like bow units. If her allies are positioned properly, Pivot can grant her mobility similar to a cavalry unit. Though moving 3 spaces through this skill uses up an action so Cherche will be unable to attack upon doing so. Because she is mainly a player phase unit, this skill would most likely be used for escaping or for repositioning Cherche.

Cherche Weaknesses

Low Res

Cherche's Res only sits at 20 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for magic users to take her out. Be mindful of Cherche's positioning in relation to magical units that can easily take her out.

Weak to bows

As a flying unit, Cherche takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.
