Camilla | Fallen Robin (M) |
The Bridal and Fallen heroes are the most metagame-defining heroes released since our last update.
Bridal Sharena and Bridal Embla are amazing offensive heroes for both Galeforce and Hit and Run strategies.
Bridal Sharena can move four spaces and generate additional actions and additional 【Canto (Dist, +1; Max 4)】 triggers whenever allies enter combat on nearby spaces, and she also has a Duo Skill that can trigger this effect on-demand. If equipped with Galeforce, Bridal Sharena can act up to four times in one turn, allowing her to easily sweep through entire teams.
Bridal Embla is a new and blessable version of Embla which allows her to be used in Arena and Aether Raids without restrictions. She can inflict 【Undefended】 and 【Feud】 on foes within 3 columns or 3 rows and pre-charge both her Special and an ally's Special by up to -2, allowing her to easily trigger Galeforce or any other Special quickly.
Fallen Veyle is an excellent support unit that grants herself and nearby allies 30% damage reduction as well as apply a Scowl effect to their foes, and a second Scowl effect if the foes are ranged units. These effects combine to make Veyle and her allies deceptively bulky, preventing foes from triggering their Specials and reducing their overall damage output.
Fallen Nergal is another excellent support unit that can steal the foe's 【Bonus】 effects and apply them to both himself and his allies. The current metagame revolves around applying 【Bonus】 effects to increase offense, mobility, or bulk, and Fallen Nergal can easily generate these 【Bonus】 effects for his allies while simultaneously crippling his foes.

Winter Byleth (M)
[9.5/10] |
Bridal Sharena
[9.5/10] |
Late May and all of June are Fire Season weeks and these are the heroes we expect to see the most in Arena aside from the usual suspects like Valentine's Chrom and other metagame relevant duo heroes.
Legendary Shez (F) is a major threat offensively with Swift Slice granting her effective damage against all foes and Asura Blades attacking twice. With these two skills, Legendary Shez (F) can easily bring down most foes in one round of attacks.
Legendary Hinoka is another Fire Legendary Hero we expect to be common due to Rallying Cry buffing herself and flying allies with 【Charge】 and Special cooldown acceleration. These effects allow Hinoka and her allies to quickly reach your units and then hit hard with quick charge Specials.
Winter Byleth (M) is a common +10 unit in Arena as he is arguably the best Savior unit in the game currently.
His Holy Yule Blade applies a Special decaying effect (if Byleth's foe has an offensive Special skill and Byleth wins a Res check) of up to -3 based on the number of spaces moved by the unit initiating combat, and is automatically -3 if Byleth triggered a Savior effect. This effect is what cements Winter Byleth (M) as the best Far Save unit in the game, as he can prevent his foe's Special skills from activating, allowing him to withstand attacks using his impressive bulk.
Bridal Sharena is the new Duo Hero with amazing offensive options.
Bridal Sharena's exclusive C skill Forever Yours grants 【Canto (Dist, +1; Max 4)】, bonus stats, 40% damage reduction, and a Tempo effect to Sharena during combat, but more importantly, if Bridal Sharena has already acted and an ally within 3 spaces of her enters combat, Forever Yours grants Bridal Sharena an extra action after the ally's combat and re-enables Canto.
Bridal Sharena also has a Duo Skill which is similar to Forever Yours's effect where it grants her another action and re-enables Canto if an ally within 3 spaces acts. This can be activated on-demand simply by pressing the Duo Skill button, giving the player the choice of when to grant Sharena an extra action.
Offensively, Bridal Sharena is a great unit as well with United Bouquet granting a visible Atk/Spd+6 bonus and movement+1,, in-combat bonus stats, a Null Follow-Up effect, true damage based on Spd, and HP recovery per attack during combat.
Legendary Shez (F) is difficult to tank, but her own bulk is somewhat lacking. Simply wait for her to approach and then defeat her in player phase by attacking her first before she can decimate your units.
Legendary Hinoka is dealt with in a similar manner, but easier due to her 【Charge】 effect and flying mobility causing her to move forward ahead of her other allies, isolating her and allowing players to pick her off safely.
Winter Byleth (M) has a formidable enemy phase, but his player phase is severely lacking. Do not engage on him and simply allow him to move forward and attack your units. He should be unable to knock out your units and die on the counterattack.
Bridal Sharena should be dealt with on player phase to prevent Forever Yours from triggering. Attempting to defeat her in enemy phase may lead to her surviving combat due to her multiple damage reduction effects which leaves your units vulnerable to her second action after triggering Forever Yours.

Emblem Ike
[9.9/10] |
Bridal Embla
[9.5/10] |
Mythic Loki
[9.5/10] |
Winter Edelgard
[9.9/10] |
The Aether Raids meta has added Emblem Ike and the new units to the metagame.
Galeforce strategies have built around Winter Edelgard's offensive prowess, and Savior teams have incorporated Winter Byleth (M) to withstand Special skipping units such as Wind Tribe Claude.
However, offensive teams have resorted to fielding units that deal unmitigated pre-combat damage, such as Valentine's Lyon and units with Flared Sparrow or Flared Mirror plus either Assassin's Strike or Occultist's Strike.
Aside from Valentine's Lyon, the most common culprit for unmitigated pre-combat damage is Ninja Sanaki, as she can pierce through damage reduction while also being a Duo Hero capable of activating Duo's Hindrance.
To counter teams with these effects, bring a Galeforce team composition with a beacon unit with multiple actions equipping Fury 4 and Fury 3 Sacred Seal and then a handful of units with Wings of Mercy 4 or Wings of Mercy 3.
Galeforce teams aim to sweep the map on turn one, preventing the enemy team from using their offensive-oriented units to defeat one of your units.
Use Smite or other positional skills like Guidance 4 to send the beacon unit in, have them attack as many times as it takes to lower their HP to the Wings of Mercy threshold, and then sweep the rest of the map while trapping one foe to allow yourself to collect the Aether resources.
Emblem Ike is the premiere tank unit in the current metagame.
Emblem Ragnell has a built-in Distant Counter effect, neutralizes penalties on Emblem Ike, neutralizes effects that prevent Emblem Ike's counterattacks, and neutralizes effects that slow down Emblem Ike's Special cooldown charges. These effects ensure that Emblem Ike can enter combat unhindered by any effect that hinders his combat potential, especially against top metagame threats.
The Null Penalties effect greatly improves Ike's matchup against Ninja Sanaki, and the Null C-Disrupt effect improves his matchup against Valentine's Lyon. These two units are the premiere ranged nuke units in the metagame, and Emblem Ike has an improved matchup against them both.
Emblem Ike also comes with Great Aether which forces Ike's foe to counterattack and follow-up attack first.
To protect Ike from being defeated before his attacks, Great Aether reduces damage from his foe's attacks by 40% minus current Special cooldown count value x 10. However, if he is receiving consecutive attacks, the damage reduction is increased to 70% minus current Special cooldown count value x 10 for his foe's second attack and all succeeding attacks during combat. Keep in mind that this is current cooldown and not maximum cooldown, which is relevant when considering Laguz Friend 4 is on his base kit.
Bridal Embla is a blessable and better version of Mythic Embla, allowing her to be used on offense and defense in any season.
Bridal Embla's exclusive C skill Absolute Closure is what sets her apart from Mythic Embla and Severance.
Absolute Closure also inflicts 【Undefended】 and 【Feud】 on foes within 3 columns or 3 rows centered on Bridal Embla, while also granting herself 【Dodge】and 【Penalty】 neutralization.
Absolute Closure has additional effects that make it an upgrade over Severance. If Bridal Embla is transformed, Absolute Closure grants Bridal Embla Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 and a Null Follow-Up effect, improving her combat further.
In addition to crippling her foes with Absolute Closure, she also excels offensively with Closing Florets granting Special cooldown reduction to herself and one nearby ally (either the support partner, or the ally with the highest Spd) at the start of each turn, allowing her and the target ally to pre-charge their Special skills by up to -2, quickly pre-charging Specials like Galeforce or any other offensive Special to sweep through teams.
Mythic Loki is a fantastic support unit that is a counter to common metagame strategies.
Most of Mythic Loki's utility comes from her exclusive C skill, Divine Deceit. Upon winning a Res check, this skill inflicts 【Gravity】 onto foes in cardinal directions of Loki, and inflicts both 【Ploy】 and 【Exposure】 on foes within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on Loki at the start of both player phase and enemy phase.
This effect cripples multiple opponents at once and is applied on both phases, negating effects like Odd Recovery from cleansing them when it is time to act.
Additionally, if any foe within 3 rows or 3 columns has ≥ 3 Bonus effects active (excluding stat bonuses) after start-of-turn effects trigger on either phase, Divine Deceit neutralizes those effects completely.
This is a huge counter to Omnitanking strategies aimed at buffing up one or two units significantly using Bonus effects, greatly weakening their combat potential and leaving them vulnerable to Mythic Loki and her allies.
Winter Edelgard is the premiere unit for offensive strategies such as Galeforce and Hit and Run.
With Raging Tempest's +1 movement and 【Charge】, Winter Edelgard can easily reach the enemy units and begin the offensive assault. Raging Tempest's bonus true damage and extra action when combined with Black Yule Lance's Special skipping effect allows Winter Edelgard to easily punch through enemy units, and then either continue the offensive with Galeforce or retreat back to the safety of her allies.
Dedicated Galeforce teams will equip Fury 4 and the Fury 3 Sacred Seal on Winter Edelgard, allowing her to fall below the Wings of Mercy threshold. Her allies can then warp in and clean up the enemy team.
Emblem Ike is the best tank unit in the game, but even he has weak points that players can exploit.
Equipping the Hardy Bearing 3 Sacred Seal removes the forced Desperation effect of Great Aether, reducing the amount of damage reduction applied to Ike by consecutive attacks.
Equipping Fatal Smoke 4 shuts down his recovery options, preventing him from sustaining through multiple engagements. Combine this with pre-combat damage effects such as Flared Sparrow and Occultist's Strike to burst him down quickly.
Bridal Embla shuts down Savior effects and allows her to pick off enemies of her choice with Closing Florets pre-charging her Special.
To counter this, field offensive, high threat range team compositions such as Cavlines to quickly overwhelm Embla or her allies, forcing a surrender once an enemy hero is defeated. Protect the offensive cavalry units from Embla with properly placed traps to prevent melee foes from attacking them at will.
Mythic Loki's Divine Deceit only neutralizes Bonus effects if three or more are applied.
Ensure your team composition only applies two Bonus effects at most to prevent Divine Deceit from cripping your tank units.
Winter Edelgard will be the offensive unit that most Defense teams will prepare for.
To help counter her, either prepare a sturdy Green Near Save unit with some support skills surrounding the entire team, or field an offensive team capable of reaching the raiding party on turn one and block the bottom row with structures to make it difficult for Winter Edelgard to engage on turn one.
It is worth noting that Winter Edelgard's damage reduction piercing effect is only applicable to non-Special damage reduction skills. Specials like Pavise will still work against her.

This is a very helpful page with tons of useful content for newer players, especially. It's almost impossible to find, tho. I'm glad i bookmarked it, but I've tried to navigate here manually & still couldn't find it again. Even if i go to the sub category "useful info", i still don't see it on there. I want to be able to find the next one y'all do, but it will probably be by accident like this was. I hate that someone put in lots of hard work that probably won't be seen by many people.
