Shiro's best IVs are +Def and -Spd. He is designed to be a physical wall so a +Def IV would suit him best. He can afford to take a bane in Spd as he has a fair value in it so it is safe to take as a bane. If you want to harness follow-up attacks with Shiro, you can inherit Quick Riposte 3 onto him as he is mainly an enemy phase powerhouse.

Shiro is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Shiro Strengths

Strong in the Enemy Phase

Bright Naginata grants +4 Def/Res to Shiro during combat if he is attacked. On the other hand, Steady Stance 3 grants him an additional +6 Def in the same conditions. This is a total of +10 Def and +4 Res in the enemy phase. You can capitalize on this and put more skills that help him in the enemy phase even more.
