When using Special Week, running her as a Pace Chaser is suggested so that it will allow her to activate Hydrate / Gourmand if you have access to them. This also helps keep her within the activation range of her unique Shooting Star, which activates by being within the first half of the pack up to the 2nd position.
Gourmand is a strong stamina recovery skill that activates mid-race, and only activates in a Pace Chaser style. Gourmand is not an easy skill to access anywhere else (and you cannot use the SSR Special Week Speed on Special Week herself), Having this skill lowers the minimum Stamina you need to comfortably run her races.
For easy access to Gourmand, as well as the skill In Body and Mind, it is important to level Special Week's potential. If you do not have the Monies or materials to do so, reaching Potential Level 3 is enough to gain access to Gourmand.
Although Special Week is primarily a Medium and Long runner, her second career race is a Mile race. To help get past this hurdle, you can choose to improve her Mile aptitude to at least B rank. This will help improve your performance in the race. To do this, look for a Legacy that can improve your Mile aptitude.
It is important to note that this is not required, and you can still perform well in the race as long as you have the proper stats.

Prioritize Stamina as Special Week prefers Long races. Afterward, maximize Speed while putting in some points into Power to help her break away from groups. As they are not the priority, you can increase Guts and Wit when able, with Wit as the higher priority.
It is important to note that if you cannot reach the stats recommended above, you can instead aim for a similar stat distribution. You can then compensate for the missing stats using skills. Additionally, if you are only planning on clearing a career run with Special Week, then you can aim for lower stat numbers, as the stats above are a baseline for Team Trials.
For Special Week, we recommend a 4 Speed, 1 Stamina, 1 Power deck, although you can replace the Speed card for a Wit card if you want feel you are lacking in Wit for Skill activations.
These cards will help Special Week level her needed Stats (especially with Rainbow/Friendship Training), as well as provide some needed skills like Swinging Maestro and Go with the Flow.

If you do not have the cards from the recommended deck, you can replace them with a similar stat card that provides skills that Special Week needs. These can be SSR cards, or even SR cards. Above are some of the SR cards that you can use in place of SSR Support cards.

For Legacy Sparks, we recommend trying to find Stamina and Power sparks, as she will need it for her Medium and Long races. Additionally, try to get either Medium or Long sparks to increase her compatibility with her career races. Alternatively, you can also try to get a Mile spark to increase your chance of winning Special Week's second career goal.
Afterward, getting either a Pace Chaser or Late Surger spark can help increase her affinity for either style from A to S, which is a good advantage to have.
You can use either your own Veterans, or borrow the ones from your friends. If you do not have Veterans with full sparks, you can go with whatever you have access to.

When picking Legacies, try to select compatible legacies, as they increase the chance of inheriting additional sparks during the Inheritance events. This is not required, but is highly recommended.
If you do not have access to fully compatible legacies, it is enough to ensure that you have at least good compatibility with your selected legacies.

Special Week will need speed and maneuvering skills that can help her reach the front of the group after staying back thanks to her Pace Chaser and Late Surger style. For speed skills, Straightaway Acceleration and Homestretch Haste can help give her a burst of speed in the final stretch.
Go with the Flow is a strong maneuvering skills that you can aim for to help later in a race. Finally, Swinging Maestro and Gourmand can help Special Week recover the stamina she needs to keep going, especially in Long races. Take note, however, that Gourmand requires Special Week to be a Pace Chaser to activate.
If you cannot get the recommended skills, you can replace them with similar skills that you have access to. You will just need to make sure that Special Week can activate said skills in a race.
