Ride the momentum to increase velocity and very slightly increase acceleration after passing another runner toward the front late-race. |
|---|
Special Week's Unique Skill requires her to be in the front half of the pack (1st to 5th in CM races, 1st to 6th in Team Trials) during the late-race and beyond, and will activate after she overtakes another runner.
Following the November Balance Adjustments, the Unique Skill can now trigger if Special Week is in first place (after the overtake), and the skill now also provides acceleration.

When training Special Week, use the brand new Trackblazer (MANT) scenario, as this will allow you to get higher stats than before. Try to participate in 30 to 35 races during your career runs while making sure to prioritize winning G1 races.
Special Week's C aptitude for Mile races will allow rivals to appear in them. We recommend getting at least 1 Mile spark to increase her aptitude to B, improving her chances of winning in them. You can also get 4 Mile sparks if you want to entirely remove the Speed penalty.
Trackblazer (Make a New Track) Scenario Guide
When using Special Week, run her as a Pace Chaser as she has a high aptitude for the running style. This also allows her to easily meet the requirements of her Unique Skill Shooting Star, as well as use some useful Pace Chaser skills like Gourmand.
Alternatively, players can also run Special Week as a Late Surger, as she has the same aptitude for it as Pace Chaser. She also has access to the skills Outer Swell and Slick Surge, which are useful Late Surger skills.
For easy access to Gourmand, as well as the skill In Body and Mind, it is important to level Special Week's potential to Level 5. If you do not have the Monies or materials to do so, reaching Potential Level 3 is enough to gain access to Gourmand.
Special Week will be part of your Medium Team Trials team. As such, improving her Medium aptitude will help her perform well.
While you can also improve her Mile aptitude to help with her first career races, it is not required, and you can still perform well in the race as long as you have the proper stats. If you are training in the Trackblazer scenario, however, getting her Mile aptitude to at least B will help her performance in races become more stable.
Two of Special Week's career goal races (the Kikuka Sho and the Tenno Sho (Spring)) have steep Stamina requirements thanks to their length. To maximize your chances of clearing her career, try to get at least 400 Stamina before the Kikuka Sho, and at least 500 Stamina before the Tenno Sho (Spring).
| 1200 | 800 | 1000 | 500 | 800 |
Since Special Week will be part of your Medium Team in Team Trials as a Pace Chaser, we recommend getting the stats above so she has enough Stamina and Power to beat the competition. Getting a Gold Recovery skill like Gourmand is recommended to help with her Medium-length races, as well as the Long races in her career.
If you are only planning to clear a career run with Special Week, then you can aim for lower stat numbers, as the stats above are for Team Trials.
Training Guide: Which Stats to Train?
For Support cards, we recommend a mixed deck consisting of 2 Speed and 2 Wit cards, as well as 2 Race Bonus filler. This will allow Special Week to get the Speed and Power she needs for her Medium races. The filler cards can be for any stat as long as you have at least 50 Race Bonus.
Due to the nature of the Trackblazer (MANT) Scenario, it is important to prioritize cards with high Race Bonus.
This deck consists mostly of SR cards and is meant for players who do not have many SSR Support Cards. Despite the lower rarity, this deck can still hold up and perform well in the latest scenario.
Take advantage of the game's borrowing feature to borrow a powerful MLB SSR, like Kitasan Black (Fire at My Heels). However, Matikane Fukukitaru (Touching Sleeves Is Good Luck! ♪) can also work.
These cards will help Special Week level her needed Stats (especially with Rainbow/Friendship Training), as well as provide some needed skills. Try to prioritize cards with a high Race Bonus, as you want at least 50% Race Bonus in your deck.
If you plan to run the Unity Cup, we recommend using either a Speed-Wit deck or a Speed-Power deck to help Special Week get the stats she needs.
Unity Cup (Aoharu Hai) Scenario Guide
If you plan to run the URA Finale, we recommend using either a Speed-Stamina deck or a Speed-Power deck to help Special Week get the stats she needs.

For Legacy Sparks, we recommend trying to find Stamina and Power sparks, as she will need them for her Medium and Long races. Additionally, try to get Medium to improve her performance in Team Trials, as well as help out with her career races. Afterward, get Pace Chaser sparks to help increase her affinity for the style from A to S, which is a good advantage to have.
If you are training in the Trackblazer scenario, you can also get 1-4 Mile sparks so that Special Week's performance in Mile races will be more stable.
You can use either your own Veterans, or borrow the ones from your friends. If you do not have Veterans with full sparks, you can go with whatever you have access to.
Special Week will need velocity and acceleration skills to help her get to the front of the pack in the later parts of the race. Skills like Nimble Navigator, In Body and Mind, Head-On, and even Triumphant Pulse are especially helpful in the last parts of the race.
For the velocity skills, corner skills like Professor of Curvature and Medium and Pace Chaser Corners are reliable skills to have. Positional skills like Up-Tempo, Slipstream, and Playtime's Over!, as well as overtake skills like Ramp Up can also help.
For recovery skills, Gourmand is your best option thanks to its accessibility and simple activation requirements.
If you cannot get the recommended skills, you can replace them with similar skills that you have access to. You will just need to make sure that Special Week can activate said skills in a race.
