Modern Warfare 2 - Hardcore Mode Will Arrive in Season 2

The Season 2 update brought back the classic Hardcore Mode which follows the same gameplay setting format from older Call of Duty titles.

Infinity Ward has delivered their promise in bringing back Hardcore Mode to replace and remove Tier 1 as stated in their recent Season 2 Update Blog. Tier 1 received negative criticism from the players due to the altered gameplay factors from the original Hardcore Mode.

Modern Warfare 2 - Hardcore Mode Realism Mode for Multiplayer

Hardcore Mode turns casual Multiplayer matches into a realistic competitive skill-based game mode by adding harsh gameplay limitations such as: Significantly lowering a player's health, Turning on friendly fire, and Limiting the HUD by removing the mini-map and ammo count.

Due to the unforgiving nature of Hardcore mode, players would have to plan their steps ahead and think twice before committing to any objectives or goals while playing a match.
