After installing the 1.03 update in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (MW2), players have been getting the error message: “Your data is corrupt or didn't download properly”. Read on to see fixes for this error message and how to keep your save data!

In order to fix this error, all you need to do is to enter the MW2 settings, choose a category, then exit out of settings.
How to Fix 1.03 Install Bug | |

1 | Hit the settings button for MW2 to bring out the settings bar on the right side of the screen |
2 | Access any subcategory in the settings. We recommend Quick Settings. |
3 | Hit Circle/cancel to exit out of the settings menu. |
This should bring you back to the game, with all your data still intact. By doing this, players won't need to “reset your ranks and unlocks” to continue playing the game.
