The Bakery Extension is one of the Burgage buildings available in Manor Lords. Learn what the Bakery Extension does, how to build and upgrade the Bakery Extension, and tips on how to use the Bakery Extension effectively here!
You can bake Bread through your Bakery Extensions by first harvesting Wheat from your Fields, then converting it into Grain using your Farmhouses.
From there, you will need to construct a Windmill to turn your Grain into Flour. The Flour gets collected by those assigned on your Bakery Extensions, and baked into Bread.
Bakery Extensions generate Bread twice as much compared to Communal Ovens, making it a much more viable investment when you plan to make Bread as a consistent resource in your settlement.

Required Development: Heavy Plow |
To be able to build the Bakery, you have to get the Bakeries development first from the Farming Section of the Development skill tree.
You will first need to unlock the Heavy Plow upgrade to open up the upgrade, and spend 1 Development Point to get this development.
This is all worth it as the Bakery produces twice as much bread compared to the Communal Oven!
The Bakery is classified as a burgage plot extension and can only be built inside a burgage plot of the appropriate level.
Burgage Plots and Backyard Extensions
Bakery Extensions will require you to level up your Burgage Plots to Level 2 so they can be constructed. Settlers working on your Bakery Extensions will be converted into Artisans.
