To get started with Dan Heng's Companion Mission, respond to his message. He will say that he wants to face his past and make amends and wishes to have you by his side. Answer and you will unlock The Dragon Returns Home Companion Mission.

Companion Mission Walkthrough

	Quest Walkthrough
1	Once you have the quest accepted, meet Dan Heng at a Pavilion at the Exalting Sanctum.
2	After talking with Huanxi, proceed to ride a ferry to the Alchemy Commission. You will be stopped by Luying along the way, just progress the dialogue to move forward.
3	Once you arrive at the Alchemy Commission, you will meet Jing Yuan there, talk to him and proceed to head towards the dock to get to Scalegorge Waterscape.
4	Once you arrive at the dock, you will be stopped by Vidyadhara Assassins. You don't need to fight them with your party, but with Imbibitor Lunae instead.
5	After defeating the assassins, talk to Huanxi in order to start the Exploratory Excursion. Note that you have to bring Imbibitor Lunae to this fight so prepare your team accordingly. Check out the list of enemies here! ▼
6	Meet up with Bailu at Scalegorge Waterscape to repair the Ambrosial Arbor's seal. A cutscene will play and you will be ambushed by more assassins.
7	After the fight move forward and you will see a Mirage Echo. After talking to it, you will unlock Mirage Echolocation to detect invisible enemies.
8	Use Mirage Echolocation to detect enemies to either avoid or fight them. You will see more Mirage Echoes along the way as you return to the entrance of the Waterscape.
9	Once you make it back, talk to Huanxi, she will reveal she is the one behind all of the assassination attempts on Bailu.
10	The first wave of enemies will have you use Trial Characters of Bailu, the Trailblazer, and Imbibitor Lunae. Be mindful of Bailu's health as all of the enemies attacks will focus on her.
11	After beating the first wave, Jing Yuan will join your party and beat over most of the enemies with his Lightning Lord. Finish off the second wave by using Imbibitor Lunae or Jing Yuan.
12	The mission will end once you talk to Jing Yuan outside the Exploratory Excursion.
