Emotions govern a Zoi's actions as well as be affected by them in inZOI. Learn how Emotions work, see the Emotions Zois can feel, and how they can be influenced.

Emotions Reflect Zoi Feelings

Positive Emotions

Emotions reflect a Zoi's mental state and frames each Zoi's reaction to their circumstances. Emotions are similar to Moods in games like The Sims 4, and can be affected by many factors.

InZOI features a total of 17 Core Emotions, each of which has unique effects on a Zoi experiencing them.

Emotions Change in Intensity

Negative Emotions

Most of the Core Emotions in inZOI can change in intensity. For example, an intensely Annoyed Zoi can become Angry, and then Enraged.

It is simplest to think of each Emotion inZOI as having a point score. As different factors affect a Zoi, those scores increase. The higher an Emotion's score, the more intense it is.

According to Krafton, 41 Emotions in inZOI when including the variations from increased intensity.

Zois Can Feel Multiple Emotions

Extreme Emotions

Zois can experience multiple Emotions simultaneously, as the circumstances around them can affect them in different ways.

However, if multiple Emotions are affecting a Zoi, only the most intense Emotion at the moment will be considered the active Emotion.

For example: If a Zoi is more Annoyed than Uncomfortable, they will be considered Annoyed, until the Emotion subsides enough for Uncomfortable to be the more intense feeling.

Urges Can Induce Emotional States Instantly

Fulfilling a Zoi's Urges by performing certain activities can force a Zoi into a specific Emotion temporarily.

The most common occurrence of this is for the Tranquil and Concentrated states, as many Urges will cause the Zoi to feel this way. This can be beneficial since those states are beneficial.

A state of excitement and anticipation that makes the heart race. Being Aflutter unlocks relevant conversations for Zois.

A state of joy and cheer. When Zois are Amused, they can quickly improve their Performance skill.
Annoyed

A state of displeasure caused by an unfavorable situation. When Zois are Annoyed, it's difficult to improve Instrument and Housework skills and relevant conversations become available. Additionally, the Fun gauge decreases quickly.
Bored

A state of total disinterest and boredom. When Zois are Bored, it's difficult to improve their Critical Thinking skill.
Concentrated
Concentrated
A state of complete focus and immersion over a certain action or activity. When Zois are Concentrated, they can quickly improve their Fitness and Critical Thinking skills.
Confident
Confident
A state of complete confidence in personal abilities that inspires belief that anything is possible. When Confident, Charm skills can improve quickly, and relevant conversations become available.
Curious

A state of showing interest and exploring new and intriguing things. When a Zoi is Curious, their Art and Coffee Craft skills quickly improve.
Embarrassed

A state of disorientation over an unexpected or urgent situation. When Zois are Embarrassed, it is difficult to improve their Charm and Programming sklls, and relevant conversations become available. Additionally, their Recognition gauge decreases quickly.
Excited

A state of anticipation over something interesting. When Zois are Excited, they can quickly improve their Cooking skill and relevant conversations become available.
Lethargic

A state of being devoid of the motivation or strength to cope with anything. When Zois are Lethargic, it's difficult to improve their Rhetoric skill and relevant conversations become available.
Nervous

A state of immense anxiety and tension that causes restlessness. When Zois are Nervous, it is difficult to improve their Performance skill and relevant conversations become available. Additionally, their Energy gauge decreases quickly.
Sad

A state of mental anguish and pain. When Zois are Sad, it's difficult to improve their Fitness skill and relevant conversations become available.
Surprised

A state that comes in sudden response to unexpected events and circumstances. When Zois are Surprised, it's difficult to improve their Critical Thinking and relevant conversations become available.
Tranquil
Tranquil
A state of comfort that comes when the mind is at ease. When Zois are Tranquil, they can quickly improve their Gardening skill and relevant conversations become available.
Uncomfortable
Uncomfortable
A state of unease caused by physical and mental discomfort. When Zois are Uncomfortable, it's difficult to improve their Housework skill.
Worried
Worried
A state of pressure brought on by anxieties over uncertainties. When Zois are Worried, it's difficult to improve their Art skill and relevant conversations become available. Additionally, their Bathroom gauge decreases quickly.

These are the 17 Core Emotions that are felt by Zois as they go through life. When active, Emotions also have effects on Skill Growth and the decline of various Needs.

The emotional state of Zois can be influenced by a variety of actions and situations, including the emotions of the Zois around them, as well as their Traits and Values.

The above list is not comprehensive, and Emotions can be triggered by many different factors.

Refer to the Emotion gauge at the bottom of the UI, under the Needs panel, to see what factors are contributing to a Zoi's current Emotion.

Each Emotion is represented by one of the dots on the gauge, and when the dots are colored, that Emotion is being felt by the Zoi.
