Certain skills can be boosted during a student's time at school by selecting actions you want them to do. You can find this by clicking on the button right next to their portrait while they are at school.

Random Events Happen at School

Just like some jobs, random events can still happen while students spend their time at school. You will then have to choose how to respond to a scenario presented by the event with the results being shown after.
