If your residence does not have a washing machine, open Build Mode by pressing the I Key, then purchase and place it.

You can find washing machines in the Bathroom Appliances section of the Build Mode furniture catalog, or by typing Washing Machine in the search bar.

Clean Dirty Clothes With Wash Laundry

Click on a washing machine and select the Wash Laundry option to clean the Zoi's clothes.

A washing machine is required to wash laundry.

Zois with the Coexistence value can also opt to use natural detergent when doing laundry, satisfying the value.

Older Zois Can Do Laundry For Children

Child Zois can also suffer from dirty clothes, but they cannot operate a washing machine. For this, they'll need the help of a Teenage, Young Adult, Adult, or older Zoi.

Children will automatically ask an adult or parent to wash their laundry for them, but if a parent is unavailable, sometimes their clothes will go unwashed.

How to Make an Older Zoi Wash Laundry for a Child

To prompt an elder to help with the laundry, move the child Zoi close to the washing machine, then select Ask to do Laundry, selecting a nearby grownup.

The grownup will then operate the washing machine, cleaning both their clothes and the child's.

Washing Machine Needs Space

A child cannot ask an older Zoi to do the laundry if there is not enough space for two Zois to stand together near the washing machine.

Households with children should ensure that the laundry facilities have some extra space so the children can have clean clothes.

What Happens When Clothes Are Dirty?

Dirty Clothes Appear Dark and Soiled

When a Zoi's clothes are dirty, their clothes will appear soiled and covered in dark grime.

Clean clothes will display their full color range and brightness, in comparison.

Just like having a dirty house, wearing unwashed clothes can have a negative effect on a Zoi's mood, making them prone to feeling Uncomfortable.
