All Hotfix Patch Notes Details

April 15, 2025 Hotfix

  • Patch Date: April 15th, 2025 at 10:00 (UTC)
  • Game Version: 20250414.2252.W

Version 0.1.5 of the Hotfix was released on April 15th, 2025 at 10:00 (UTC) to add new improvements and bug fixes to the game.

Gameplay Updates

  • Improvements of Build Mode default camera and addition of free camera. Free camera allows players to use the WASD keys to control the camera.
  • Improved In-game character appearance: Light shadow casting update. 3 new shadow options have been added in the Graphics settings, allowing players to apply realistic shadows to Zois and furniture. Enabling this option may impact performance.
  • Fixed an issue preventing players from resuming gameplay. This is caused by the Esc key failing to exit Map Mode as intended, causing corrupted save files.
  • Improved so that a Zoi’s lifespan is changed each time the game is resumed, preventing repeated deaths at the same age.
  • Fixed an issue where Zois would not die in fires immediately or were unable to use stairs and fire extinguishers during fire incidents.
  • Fixed an issue where certain objects were missing after reverting to a default lot
  • Fixed an issue where locked doors and windows could not be replaced after adjusting platform height on apartment lots.

Ambition Goal Updates

  • Resolved an issue where certain goals in the “Notorious Villain” ambition were not completing.
  • Fixed an issue where certain goals (Partners in Love, Nation’s Sweetheart) in the “Pursuit of Love” ambition were not being counted correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where certain goals (Philanthropist) in the community contribution ambition were not properly counted.
  • Corrected the lot price display text for the “Financial Success” ambition.

List of Ambitions

Career and Interaction

  • Fixed an issue where the third rank of non-interactive (rabbit hole) careers could not be reached.
  • Removed the Karma Requirement for Animal Feeding Interactions. This allows players to interact and feed animals at any time.
  • Fixed an issue where conversation interactions were unavailable while Zois were riding a vehicle.

UI/UX

  • Improved sorting so that player-created households are now displayed at the top of the family list.
  • Fixed an issue where Zois became unresponsive, and the UI failed to display during furniture crafting interactions.
  • Corrected the mismatch between UI display and actual behavior for vertical camera movement in default camera mode.
  • Fixed an issue where the mouse hover function behaves abnormally after using certain features within the Canvas upload pop-up.

Canvas

  • Fixed an issue where accessories created using the 3D Printing feature could not be uploaded to Canvas.

Crash Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where crashes could occur intermittently under specific conditions.
  • Added a crash warning popup for Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs.

How to Fix Crashing Issue

April 4, 2025 Hotfix

Version 0.1.4 of the hotfix was released on April 4, 2025 at 2:00 (UTC) to address the following issues and game improvements:

Fixes and Improvements

  • Added age adjustment feature
  • Added a detailed error code popup when a Canvas upload fails
  • Sleep duration reduced
  • Slowed the rate of Karma change
  • Slowed Family relationship growth
  • Zois will now eat food immediately after cooking
  • "Give Birth " can now proceed regardless of interaction queue
  • Fixed an issue where the “Give Birth” interaction would not proceed when the interaction queue was full
  • Fixed an issue where the pregnancy visual was not properly reflected for Zois with reduced abdominal body shape
  • Fixed an issue where giving birth was not possible if a divorce occurred during the pregnancy test stage
  • Fixed an issue where emotional buffs would sometimes remain after their duration had ended
  • Improved error popup to display file information when a Canvas upload fails
  • Fixed an issue where the toilet sound effect was too long and felt unnatural
  • Improved with a toast message when the family tree is inaccessible
  • Improved with error popups when a JSON object creation error occurs during save file loading

The hotfix for April 4, 2025 added the ability to disable aging. Head to Options and navigate to Simulation and adjust the settings for "Aging (My Zois)" and "Aging (Other Zois)" to disable or enable aging the targeted Zois.

Additionally, sleep duration has been lessened for smoother gameplay, change rate for Karma is slowed, and progression for the Family relationship is now reduced. Family and Karma growth rates may still be adjusted in City Edit via the Family Relationships and Civic Consciousness sliders respectively.

Moreover, Pregnancy will now proceed even after a divorce occurs during the pregnancy test stage. Note that this only applies to newly created Zois after the hotfix is applied and will not affect exisitng save files.

New Bugs

  • Game crashes when attempting to change textures or colors.

On April 5, 2025, the official inZOI Discord announced on the service notice channel that the game crashes when attempting to change textures or colors.

It is recommended to avoid changing the textures and colors of your Zois or furniture and wait until this bug has been addressed.

How to Fix Crashing Issue

April 1, 2025 Hotfix

  • Patch Date: April 1, 2025 at 13:30 (UTC)
  • Game Version: 20250401.1483.W

Version 0.1.3 of the hotfix was released on April 1, 2025 at 13:30 (UTC) to address the following issues and game improvements:

Fixes and Improvements

  • Adjusted lifespan rules so that only Zois in senior age groups may now pass away naturally.
  • Fixed an issue where clothing remained dirty or damaged after washing under certain conditions.
  • Resolved a crash issue that could occur intermittently in certain situations.

The hotfix likely changes the allotted number of days that each age group has as they have mentioned that they changed the lifespan rules "so you can spend more time with your Zois".

They also mentioned that Zois could die of natural causes at relatively early ages based on realistic possibilities. This has been changed so that players can have time to bond with their Zois and immerse themselves in their stories.

Note that the new lifespan rules only apply to newly created Zois made via New Game. It does not affect existing save files.

March 30, 2025 Hotfix

  • Patch Date: Mar.30 at 08:00 (UTC)
  • Game Version: 20250330.1403.W

Version 0.1.2 of the hotfix was released on March 30, 2025 at 08:00 (UTC) to address the following issues:

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the original creator of a Creation was incorrectly displayed in certain situations
  • Fixed an issue where the headset remained equipped when automatically changing into everyday wear after using "Give Gift"
  • Moved the [Ray Tracing Target] option to the [Advanced - Preset] menu
  • Fixed a moiré issue (wavy patterns on distant grilles or glass) that occurred on hair, foliage, or screen in specific environments.

If the moiré issue occurs, it can be mitigated by adjusting settings manually:

  • DLSS: NVIDIA RTX 2000 series or higher
  • FSR: AMD graphics cards
  • XeSS: Intel graphics cards

For DLSS users, enabling DLAA and setting Anti-Aliasing Method to TSR may result in improved visual quality

Notes on Graphics Drivers

The news post in the official inZOI website and on the Discord has shared the recommended driver versions for Nvidia video cards.

If you are using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX series GPU, please check the following:

  • RTX 50 Series → Driver version 572.83 (latest)
  • RTX 40 Series → Driver version 566.36 (released December 2024)
  • RTX 30 Series or earlier → Latest driver recommended

Using driver versions 572.xx or later may result in occasional frame drops or stuttering. If issues persist, we recommend installing version 566.36.

All Bugs, Glitches, and Known Issues

March 29, 2025 Hotfix

A hotfix was released on March 29, 2025 at 01:00 (UTC) to address the following issues:

  • Fixed an issue where certain buttons would disappear after re-entering the lobby while playing the game in Simplified Chinese
  • Fixed an intermittent issue that prevented the lobby menu from functioning properly
  • Fixed an issue where some family detail settings didn’t match the values displayed in the UI
  • Fixed an issue where custom outfits or accessories would disappear after restarting the game

How to Update inZOI

Click on inZOI and press the blue Update button to start downloading the update.
