A maximum of 8 Zois is available in a household for inZOI. Find out how to add new members and how to exceed the maximum family count in here!

The current Early Access build of inZOI supports a maximum of 8 Zois per household or family.
This makeup can be of any group of Zois, as long as one adult or young adult Zoi is present. Child Zois cannot maintain a household alone.
You can check the family panel on the right side of the UI to see how many slots remain for new Zois.
The panel shows the faces of all Zois in the family, with any empty slots signifying open places where a Zoi can be added.
If an empty space is available, it can be filled by a Zoi through birth, or by simply creating a new Zoi via the Add Family Member button on the map screen.

Once the maximum of 8 Zois are occupying a household, no new Zois can be added.
All pregnancy attempts are guaranteed to fail after reaching the threshold. For a new member to be added, one of the existing members would need to pass away to create a slot in the family for them.p
All Death Types and How to Cause Them
The developers have hinted that the maximum family count can be exceeded via mods.
Additionally, it is confirmed that they will be adding guides and tools for modding for their players, aiding them for easier implementation.
