How to Bond with Animals

Interact with a Cat at the Park

To bond with animals, click on any cat in the park and select either Give Snack or Greet with a Treat. This can fulfill the Wants to Bond with Animals urge and earn you Meow Coins.

As of this writing, only cats can be interacted with. Other animals, like dogs, squirrels, and pandas, cannot be interacted with and are simply props in the park.

Can You Adopt a Cat?

You Need At Least 60 Points in Coexistence Value to Interact with Cats

Your Zoi must have at least 60 points in Coexistence value to interact with cats. In addition to the aforementioned options, Zois can also unlock Receive Comfort Through Empathy if they're depressed.

Control Animal Density in City Appearance

If you cannot find any animals in your city, you may need to add them. To do this, click City Edit at the bottom-right of the screen or press [M] on your keyboard and go to the City Appearance tab. In the Animals section, you can select up to 3 animal types and adjust their density.
