What Are Preferences?

Likes and Dislikes of a Zoi

Like and Dislike Preferences

Preferences determine a Zoi's likes and dislikes, thereby affecting their behavior and activities.

Likes are indicated by a yellow heart and dislikes are marked with a gray broken heart in the Preferences menu.

Likes and Dislikes Can Be Changed

The likes and dislikes of a Zoi can be changed by clicking the pencil icon on Preferences in their Zoi Card. Note that players may only set up to 10 Preferences for a Zoi with both likes and dislikes counting towards the limit.

Use Conversations to Learn Preferences

When interacting with another Zoi, conversations can be used to find out their preferences.

Select conversation topics with a key symbol to unlock new profile info for that Zoi. Profile info can include topics like their Values or Traits, and affect their Relationships.

Preferred Activities Affect Emotions

Zoi Doing Liked Activity

Doing activities that a Zoi likes (or dislikes) can affect their Emotions.

Liked activities are more likely to put a Zoi in a positive mood like Tranquil or Concentrated.

Disliked activities may put a Zoi in a negative mood like Bored or Annoyed.

These emotions in turn can affect a Zoi's skill development and needs.

Zois Have Hidden Preferences

Hidden Preferences

Occasionally, the game will indicate if a Zoi has a Hidden Preference when doing an activity.

Psycat will sometimes pop up and suggest that a Zoi likes or dislikes the activity they're performing and suggest that you assign it as a Preference.

This is randomized and partially influenced by the Zoi's Trait and Values.
