Use social interactions to develop family, love, business, or friendship relationships in inZOI. Check out how to adjust relationship success rate, the different relationship types, and the maximum number of relationships in here!
List of Contents

Relationships in inZOI can be established by having Zois interact with one another. Some interactions have an icon beside them, indicating which relationship stat it affects.
For example, interactions that advance Romance may be marked with a heart symbol, though this is not consistent for all interactions.
Players can also look up interactions to advance specific relationship types from the More Actions submenu when interacting with a Zoi.

There are 4 relationship types available in inZOI: Family, Romance, Friendship, and Business. These relationships can be progressed independently allowing players to form complex bonds between Zois.
Zois can have a high Business relationship but low Friendship with another Zoi, or be Mutual Crushes while having Neutral Friendship. Players are free to experiment and simulate varying relationship levels between Zois!

Each relationship extends from a base of Neutral and can be Positive or Negative based on the success of the interactions.
For example, frequently failing Friendship interactions will eventually cause a Zoi to become one's Foe, making them nearly hostile to each other.

When a relationship has advanced enough to upgrade to the next tier, you will be prompted to Select Relationship through a conversation.
These conversations can upgrade a relationship to the next level - like from Sweetheart to True Love or keep it at the current level, depending on the player's choice.
As relationship levels are particularly important for Marriage, this aspect of the system is an important one to keep track of.

Zois will record major relationship events in a log they maintain. Each Zoi they interact with has such a log, and can give players insights as to a Zoi's thoughts and feelings about that Zoi.

The ability to foster relationships can be adjusted from the City Map menu. Navigate to the Manage City tab, and under Control City Status manipulate the sliders for each of the four relationship types.
Alongside City Stability Settings, changing the relationship sliders will adjust the pace at which these relationships can develop and the success rate of their interactions, making Zois more dynamic.
