| What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Nocturnal Fang grants bonus stats, true damage, true DR, and Null Guard to allies within 3Rx3C, grants Ranulf bonus stats, true damage, true DR, Null Guard, and a Potent Follow-Up effect during combat. |
|
Might: 14 Range: 1 Enables【Canto (Rem. +1; Min 2)】. Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). For allies within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on unit, grants Atk/Spd+5, ally deals +7 damage (excluding area-of-effect Specials), reduces damage from foe's attacks by 7 (excluding area-of-effect Specials), and neutralizes effects that inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on ally during combat. If unit is transformed or unit's HP ≥ 25% at start of combat, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res = number of allies within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on unit × 3, + 5 (max 14), deals damage = 20% of unit's Spd (excluding area-of-effect Specials), reduces damage from foe's attacks by 20% of unit's Spd (excluding area-of-effect Specials), and neutralizes effects that inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on unit during combat, and also, if decreasing the Spd difference necessary to make a follow-up attack by 25 would allow unit to trigger a follow-up attack (excluding guaranteed or prevented follow-ups), triggers 【Potent Follow X%】 during combat (if unit cannot perform follow-up and attack twice, X = 80; otherwise, X = 40). At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or if unit is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts). If unit transforms, grants Atk+2 to unit, inflicts Atk/Def-Y on foe during combat (Y = number of spaces from start position to end position of whoever initiated combat + 3; max 6), and also, if Y ≥ 5, reduces damage from foe's first attack by 30% during combat. |
|
Cooldown Count = 4 Boosts damage dealt by 150%. |
|
Removes the condition to transform. If unit's Spd > foe's Spd, neutralizes effects that prevent unit's follow-up attacks during combat. |
|
At start of turn, grants Spd +6 to allies within 2 spaces for 1 turn. Granted only if the number of that ally’s movement type on current team ≤ 2. |

| See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Halloween Ranulf will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Halloween Ranulf are +Spd and -Res. His base 48 Spd is raised to 52 with a superboon and allows him to keep up with all the fast metagame units.
His base 24 Res is below average and lowering it further will not impact any of his matchups. It is a safe bane to take.
We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Halloween Ranulf to +10 for similar reasons above.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Halloween Ranulf is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Halloween Ranulf's exclusive weapon Nocturnal Fang has built-in 【Canto (Rem. +1; Min 2)】 and grants Atk/Spd+5, +7 bonus true damage and true damage reduction, and Null Guard onto allies within 3 rows and 3 columns centered on Ranulf.
In combat, Nocturnal Fang grants Ranulf up to Atk/Spd/Def/Res+14, bonus true damage and true damage reduction equal to 20% of his Spd, Null Guard, and 【Potent Follow X%】 if Ranulf wins a modified Spd check.
Nocturnal Fang is a good weapon, providing support to allies from long distances and granting Ranulf good in-combat effects that allow him to deal relevant damage in combat.
Halloween Ranulf takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
Halloween Ranulf takes 1.5x damage from beast-effective weapons like Brave Eliwood's Nini's Ice Lance or Picnic Flora's Sæhrímnir, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

How in the world is this dude so underrated? His weapon has everything a premium unit usually has, in addition to +7/-7 Dmg/DR for allies. That seems great, to me. I don't understand how the voters say he should be passed on. This os the first grail unit I've been excited about since panerte, weapon wise. I think i will just use the hraesvelgr (sp?) manual on him, but will need a C skill. I wonder how much he needs NFU? Not all units do, so i could use odd spd wave 4 if beasts can use it.

his ally support also has null guard,, which is something i was searching for recently to assist ferox fir (cuz if she has guard debuff applied in some form, she can't trigger her special since she doesn't have this natively). The only unit i could find who had this as support was refined ronan, but he needs to be within 3 spaces. This is available in 3r x 3c.. The 9.0 rating is sufficient, I'm mainly talking about the votes
