When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Váli are +Spd and -Def. Váli is among the fastest heroes in the game with her base 48 Spd, raised to 51 after equipping Enraptured God, and raised to 54 after a boon.
Even though +Atk is a superboon and is also a good boon to take, we still recommend +Spd due to the numerous speedy units in the game with base 48-49 Spd. Váli can prevent their follow-up attacks with enough Spd investment.
Váli's Def and Res are equally not as good as her other IVs. We recommend -Def as it is slightly lower, but either of these will be fine as a bane and it will not impact any of Váli's matchups.

Váli's base kit already functions well as an offensive threat with immense bulk from Invincible Sister. The Emblem Ring slot is flexible; we opted for Emblem Lyn ring to extend Váli's threat range.

Váli is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.
Váli's exclusive weapon Enraptured God neutralizes her flying weakness and has built-in Distant Counter, allowing her to retaliate against all foes in combat.
Enraptured God also grants Atk/Spd+5 and Distant Counter to allies within 3 spaces of Váli, granting them the ability to retaliate at any range. Distant Counter being outsourced is incredibly rare, and this effect alone makes Váli worth using in certain team compositions that aim to fight on enemy phase.
Enraptured God also grants a Miracle effect to an ally within 3 spaces of Váli once per battle, and that ally heals 40 HP and is granted Atk/Spd 【Great Talent】+10 after combat. This effect is incredibly powerful and further adds on to Váli's immense support prowess, especially when paired with Savior tanks that protect the rest of the team.
In combat, Enraptured God grants Váli up to Atk/Spd/Def/Res+14 (based on number of foes within 3 rows and 3 columns), neutralizes her foe's bonuses, grants Váli bonus true damage equal to 20% of her Spd plus the total value of Atk/Spd 【Great Talent】 stacked on Váli, true damage reduction equal to 20% of Váli's Spd, and 50% damage reduction piercing.
Enraptured God is a loaded weapon filled with great support effects while also keeping Váli relevant in combat.
Váli's exclusive Special Invincible Sister pre-charges itself at the start of player and enemy phase while also healing Váli 40 HP, ensuring it is active for each turn.
When Invincible Sister triggers, it grants Váli a Miracle effect, and then reduces all incoming damage from the foe in combat to zero once per turn.
After that combat, Invincible Sister pre-charges itself again and heals Váli for another 40 HP, ensuring it is active on the next combat.
Invincible Sister also grants Váli Atk/Spd【Great Talent】+10, making her stronger on the next combat, and if Váli initiated combat, it even grants her an extra action too!
The zero damage effect ensures that Váli survives combat once no matter what, making her very difficult to take down due to requiring two combats.
Finally, Váli's first follow-up attack in each combat deals bonus true damage equal to 50% of her foe's Atk plus the total value of Atk/Spd 【Great Talent】 stacked on Váli, reduces damage from her foe's first attack by 40%, and grants Váli Special cooldown count -2 before her foe's first attack.
All in all, Invincible Sister is one of the best Specials in the game and makes Váli very difficult to bring down despite her frail stats.
Váli's defensive stats are quite lacking, leaving her vulnerable to strong attackers.
She will be reliant on Invincible Sister to survive attacks from these foes. When Invincible Sister's Miracle effect is not active, Váli is highly likely to fall on the foe's follow-up attack
Additionally, Invincible Sister can be countered with area-of-effect damage as long as Váli's HP is reduced to 1 before combat begins. This ensures that Invincible Sister does not trigger!

All of these skills are very strong and worth inheriting onto your favorite units. However, we recommend keeping at least one copy of Váli in your barracks, as she is among the strongest heroes in the game as of the time of her release.

She does lose the damage nullification but she in turn becomes threatening on offense, especially when paired with reflex support. As you said, Vali baits out Eirka ring on her first combat so she mostly doesn't have to worry about brave attacks bypassing miracle.

Váli with Brave Baldr in team is pretty busted in the Røkkr Sieges with Váli granting the counter to her teammates and Brave Baldr being able do so much damage.
