| What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Free-to-Play hero with great mobility and offensive stats. ・Iron Hreiðmarr grants 【Canto (Dist. +2; Max 5)】 during turns 1 through 4, inflicts stat penalties and a Guard effect onto foes within 3Rx3C, makes foes within 3Rx3C suffer guaranteed follow-up attacks, grants Fáfnir bonus stats, bonus true damage, and bonus Special cooldown charges before first attack. |
|
Might: 16 Range: 1 Grants Atk+3. Enables 【Canto (Dist. +2; Max 5)】 during turns 1 through 4. For foes within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on unit, inflicts Atk/Spd/Def-5, inflicts Special cooldown charge -1 on foe per attack (only highest value applied; does not stack), and those foes suffer guaranteed follow-up attacks during combat. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res = number of foes within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on unit × 3 (max 9), deals damage = 15% of unit's Atk (excluding area-of-effect Specials), and grants Special cooldown count-X to unit before unit's first attack during combat (X = number of spaces from start position to end position of whoever initiated combat, max 3). |
|
Cooldown Count = 4 Boosts Atk by 50%. |
|
Inflicts Spd/Def-3 on foe and neutralizes foe's bonuses to Spd/Def (from skills like Fortify, Rally, etc.) during combat. |
|
At start of turn, if unit is not adjacent to an ally, grants Atk/Spd+6 for 1 turn. |

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Fáfnir will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Fáfnir are +Spd and -Res. Fáfnir's Spd is among the highest in the game at base 47, and can be raised to base 50 with a boon. With a Spd boon and equal investment, Fáfnir can prevent the fastest metagame foes from generating follow-up attacks against him.
Fáfnir's Res is a clear dump stat at only base 18 and can be safely taken as a bane.
We recommend +Spd when merging Fáfnir up to +10 to ensure he outspeeds a majority of the metagame while preventing the fastest fully merged units from generating follow-up attacks against him.

This is an offensive build catered to having Fáfnir attack multiple times to burst down his foes. Emblem Sigurd is used for additional movement and to provide Canto after turn 4.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Fáfnir is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Fáfnir's Iron Hreiðmarr grants him 【Canto (Dist. +2; Max 5)】 during turns 1 through 4, making him a hero meant to rush down enemies before the Canto effect expires.
Iron Hreiðmarr also inflicts Atk/Spd/Def-5 and Special cooldown charge -1 on foe per attack for all foes within 3 rows or 3 columns of Fáfnir, and those foes also suffer guaranteed follow-up attacks in combat. This effect has a wide range, allowing Fáfnir to support his team from across the map.
In combat, Iron Hreiðmarr grants Fáfnir up to Atk/Spd/Def/Res+9, bonus true damage equal to 15% of his Atk, and bonus Special cooldown charges before his first attack based on distance travelled (up to Special cooldown count -3).
Iron Hreiðmarr has great offensive effects, from the superior early game Canto to the Special cooldown reduction. This weapon is ideal for rushing strategies where clearing the map quick is the main strategy.
Fáfnir only has base 18 Res, and with no true damage reduction on Iron Hreiðmarr, magic damage will most likely defeat Fáfnir in one round.
Keep him away from foes that deal magic damage to ensure his survival.
Fáfnir takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
| Should You Unlock Potential for this Hero? |
|
|---|

You're right; Fáfnir shouldn't have a reroll ranking since he's obtainable for free. We've fixed the article.
