When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Spd/-Def

The best IVs for Emmeryn are +Spd and -Def. A higher Spd stat allows Emmeryn to take less follow-up attacks from enemies. In the event that she needs to help with offense, she can sometimes score follow-up attacks as well because she has decent Spd. This increases her survivability. Her Def is of less importance so it is safe to take as a bane.

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Emmeryn to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. Additionally, you can also go with a +Res IV if you prefer an Emmeryn that specializes in absorbing magical attacks.

This build makes Emmeryn a tank against magic units. Guard 3 slows their specials while double Spd/Res Bond on her A and Sacred Seal slots buffs her stats further while she's adjacent to an ally.

Emmeryn is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Emmeryn Strengths

Casts a bonus on ally with high Res

The C skill Res Opening 3 is a buff skill that gives +6 to the Res of the ally who has the highest Res stat. This skill has good synergy with heroes that make good use of their Res stat such as F!Julia, who heavily relies on Res to tank magic users and to boost her firepower. This buff will be granted regardless of her position on the map.

Can be used as a Res tank

Emmeryn has pretty decent HP and Res stats, and her Spd is not bad either, so in addition to heal support, she can act as a Res tank, and inflict Fear on the foe, which will lower the Atk of foe and surrounding foes post combat.

Emmeryn Weaknesses

No Outstanding or Unique Characteristic

Emmeryn has a good balance of stats and she can work well as a standard healer unit. However, she is outclassed by many healer units with more unique abilities that allow them to fill a niche or specialize in a secondary role. A good example would be Silque with her Melancholy+.

Since Emmeryn has one of the best statlines over all the infantry staff users, it is a good idea to fodder good skills onto her to increase her effectiveness.
