Travant Best IVs

Recommended IVs

Stat Superboon/Superbane IV Recommendation
HP (20) Normal HP ★★★☆☆
Atk (23) No Attack IV ★★★★☆
Spd (7) Spd Boon ★★★☆☆
Def (10) Def Boon ★★★★★
Res (5) Res Bane ★★☆☆☆

◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws

See the IV Checker for All Units Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

Neutral IVs by default!

As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Travant will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.

+Def/-Res

The best IVs for Travant are +Def and -Res. Travant is not built to take blows from magic units so having some points off his Res would not weaken him significantly. With that, you should maximize his Def as much as possible as he is very strong in that side of defense. Taking a +Def IV combined with her naturally very high Def means that most physical units will find it hard to take him down. In addition, it is a superboon so you should take advantage of it as much as possible.

+Def for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Def IV when merging Travant to 10. With +10 merges, Travant's Def stat will reach 48. This makes him a very strong physical wall.

How to Use, Explanation

This build turns Travant into a formidable tank unit. Thracia Kinglance removes his flying weakness while the other skills all improve his overall bulk. Ignis will deal heavy damage with Travant's high Def stat.

Budget Travant

How to Use, Explanation

This is a budget build aimed at making Travant a sturdy physical wall. Renewal is our choice for the budget B skill due to the lack of good budget skills for fliers; it will keep him sustained throughout multiple engagements.

Travant Best Weapon Refine

Effect of Travant's Refined Weapon

Exclusive Weapon Effect from Refining (Special Effect Type)
SP: 400
Might: 16 Range: 1 HP: 3
Neutralizes "effective against flying" bonuses. If foe initiates combat or foe's HP ≥ 75% at start of combat, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 to unit, inflicts Atk-X on foe (X = 15% of unit's Def at start of combat), and inflicts Special cooldown charge -1 on foe per attack during combat (only highest value applied; does not stack).
At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 to unit, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack, and grants Special cooldown charge +1 to unit per attack during combat (only highest value applied; does not stack).
Arena Medal:500 Divine Dew:200

We recommend the Special Effect Refine for Thracia Kinglance

Refined Thracia Kinglance removes Travant's Bow weakness, grants bonus stats, inflicts a Guard effect and a massive Atk penalty onto his foe, grants himself a guaranteed follow-up attack and extra Special charges per attack.

While these effects aren't exactly massive, combined onto one weapon, Travant becomes a formidable tank unit available on a budget.

Travant is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Travant Strengths

Extremely high Def stat!

Travant's base Def is 40 at Lv. 40. This is already very high, but it can still be improved through skills, merging, dragonflowers, buffs and many more. Since his special is Ignis, this stat allows him to deal great amounts of damage especially with investment! Finding a niche role in Fire Emblem Heroes is very important and this statline alone helps Travant find his spots on team compositions.

Facilitate flier movement with Flier Guidance!

Flying allies within 2 spaces can move to a spaces adjacent to Travant thanks to Flier Guidance 3. This allows Travant to facilitate the mobility of flying allies. Because of the range, it can allow flying allies to move up to 3 spaces if Travant is positioned properly. Since Travant is mainly a physical tank, he will find himself in the frontlines most of the time. This position allows his allies to surge into the frontlines if the timing is right. It can also be used defensively if Travant is in the backlines.

Travant Weaknesses

Low Res

Contrary to his Def stat, Travant's Res only sits at 22 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for magic users to take him out. Be mindful of Travant's positioning in relation to magical units that can easily take him out.

Weak to bows

As a flying unit, Travant takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.

Because of his high Def stat, many archers would still not be able to take him out. You should still watch out for said units, though!
