When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Def/-Spd

Wrys' best IVs are +Def and -Spd. It is best to utilize Wrys' IVs to increase his survivability. Wrys' Res and HP are fine, so you do not need a +Res or +HP IV. This leaves Spd and Def. His Spd is very low and it is not worth increasing so this is why we recommend increasing his Def instead. Expect follow-up attacks to hit Wrys, but hopefully his decent Def, Res and HP stats are enough to allow Wrys to survive another turn.

How to Use, Explanation

There are tons of other staff units better fit to run a Pain+, double Savage Blow 3 set, but if you want to run one on Wrys, it will not look any different. If you prefer, you can take Wrathful Staff 3 in the B slot, and get a Dazzling Staff upgrade for Pain+.

How to Use, Explanation

This build makes Wrys more survivable as a staff unit. To improve his survivability even further, we recommend getting merges on him as copies of Wrys are relatively cheap. Make sure to get the Dazzling Staff upgrade for his weapon.

Wrys is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Wrys Strengths

Good at training other characters

Slow+ slows down enemies and his other 3 skills spreads heals throughout all units in the map. This makes Wrys a great unit in a training tower party that is focused on training one unit. A great set-up would be Wrys, 2 refresher assist allies and the unit being trained.

Good heal skill

Rehabilitate restores a minimum of 7 HP. If target's HP is ≦ 50% an additional heal is applied, the lower the HP, the more is restored. This allows Wrys to heal very high HP characters like Arden with relative ease as this is not a fixed amount heal.

Low Def and Spd

As mentioned in the IVs section, Wrys has very low Def and Spd. Please be mindful of Wrys' positioning in relation to physical units that can easily take him out.
