Resplendent Attire has been released for Narcian. With their Resplendent Attire equipped, they will have a different appearance, have new voice clips, and additionally, gain +2 to all stats. If you really like Narcian or you want to make them stronger, you may want to buy a FEH pass and get the Resplendent Attire.

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
Neutral IVs by default!
As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Narcian will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
+Atk/-Res
The best IVs for Narcian are +Atk and -Res. Narcian's Atk stat is very low so you should take this IV as much as possible. It also makes best use of the damage multiplier he gets against blue units with Emerald Axe. This allows him to take out a lot of blue units especially those who have low Def. His Res is very low and is of less importance so it is safe to take it as a bane.
With it, lance units are doomed to Narcian because of the combined effects of Lancebreaker 3 and Emerald Axe+!
+Atk for a +10 Merge
We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Narcian to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. Even with this IV however, his Atk stat ill still be relatively low so we recommend getting the special effect refine for Runeaxe. You can also merge him up, use dragon flowers and get more powerful skills onto him.

How to Use, Explanation
This build aims to make Narcian very tanky through bulk and heals. The base of this build is Narcian's balanced stat spread. Taking Panic Smoke 3 will allow him to activate his Runeaxe's special effect refine to make him even bulkier!

We recommend the Special Effect Refine for Runeaxe
Since Narcian can easily apply a penalty on lance units with Lancebreaker 3, we recommend the special effect refine for Runeaxe. The Atk/Spd/Def/Res +4, when paired with Triangle Adept, or a support unit who can inflict Triangle Adept on foes, allows him to counter to powerful lance users such as Legendary Ephraim, Brave Hector and Brave Eliwood.

Narcian Roles, Strengths, and Weaknesses
Narcian Roles
Narcian is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Narcian Strengths
Very Strong Against Blue Units
Emerald Axe+ increases Narcian's Atk by 20% if he has weapon-triangle advantage over the opponent, and reduces Atk by 20% if he has weapon-triangle disadvantage. This makes him very powerful against blue units, but you should make sure to keep him out of red units' reach.
Strong Against Lance Users
Narcian has access to Lancebreaker 3, which guarantees follow-up attacks against lance users and prevents them from executing follow-up attacks if Narcian's HP is equal or more than 50%. One of his weapons, Emerald Axe+, can also provide him weapon advantage over lance users. Because of these skills, he can be a good counter to powerful blue units like Brave Hector and Hardin.
Narcian Weaknesses
Weak to Bows
As a flying unit, Narcian takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep him out of the range of archers and leave these foes to other units.
Weak to Red Units
Narcian has great advantage over blue units especially lance users because of Lancebreaker 3 and Emerald Axe+, but red units do not have a hard time taking him out at all. Be mindful of Narcian's positioning in relation to red units especially units like Midori, who is both a red unit and a bow user.

Narcian is a Hero who, for a limited time, can be obtained through completing a Grand Hero Battle for the first time. They do not appear in regular summons. After the event has ended, they can be obtained by using Heroic Grails.
