Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Atk/-HP

The best IVs for Est are +Atk and -HP. Her weapon is effective against armored units so having a +Atk IV maximizes the potential of that 1.5x damage multiplier. Additionally, Her special effect refinement allows her to strike twice so even a small change in Atk means big damage. Her HP is of less importance so it is safe to take it as a bane.

+Atk for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Est to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. Take note that Est will not be able to strike twice if she is not in a flying-centered team. If you do not plan to run her in such teams, we recommend taking a +Spd IV instead.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a build for Est that uses her weapon refine. Because of its armor-effectiveness, pairing it with Death Blow and Heavy Blade makes Est an excellent unit to take our armored units.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a build for Est that makes her a tanky unit against magic units. Distant Counter allows her to counterattack regardless of range, while Quick Riposte gives her a guaranteed follow-up attack if attacked during the enemy phase. Berkut's Lance, Joint Drive Res and Mirror Stance 2 serve to boost her Res.

We recommend the Special Effect Refine for Whitewing Spear

Whitewing Spear's special effect refine is a straight up powerboost for Est. It grants an all-stat boost in both phases. Additionally, it allows Est to strike twice if she initiates the attack. Keep in mind that this only works if Est is around at least 2 flying allies. Strongly consider running her in an all-flying party to get the most out of this weapon refine!

Heavy Spear+ Evolution:

Heavy Spear+ can be evolved into Slaying Spear+ through the Weapon Refinery.

One of Heavy Spear+'s weapons can be evolved into a Slaying Spear+ and you can certainly go through this route. However, Whitewing Spear is superior.

Est is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent toher Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Est Strengths

High physical Atk and high Res

Est is unique in the sense that she is a physical lance unit, but she has a high Res stat—not many flying lance units have this combination of characteristics. Because many mages have low Def stats, Est is a great match-up to many of these mages. Make sure that you are aware of this strength of Est and play her accordingly!

Her weapons are strong against armored units

Est's most powerful weapons, the Slaying Spear+ and the Whitewing Spear are effective against armored units. These weapons combined with her high Atk stat, makes her a formidable threat to armored units. It can be said that Est is a hard counter to Idunn and Spring Idunn as Est possesses high Res, a weapon strong against armored units and a weapon triangle advantage over red units.

Useful movement-assist skill in Shove

Shove is a movement assist skill that pushes a unit 1 tile away from Est. With it, you can either:

• Push an ally deeper into enemy lines to allow them to take down a priority unit.
• Push an ally out of the danger zone.

Like other movement-assist skills like Reposition and Drag Back, it has many uses. However, Shove is more easily utilized as an offensive maneuver as it allows for easy initiation.

Est Weaknesses

Low Def

Est's Def only sits at 24 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for physical units to take her out. Be mindful of Est's positioning in relation to physical units that can easily take her out.

Weak to bows

As a flying unit, Est takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units. Her weakness to bows is compounded by the fact that she has a very low Def stat.
