The best IVs for Eldigan are +Atk and -HP. Eldigan relies heavily on Atk for offense as his low Spd is very unreliable. This makes a +Atk HP the best option for him as it helps him one-shot foes. His HP is of less importance and it can be supplemented for using weapon refinement so it is safe to take as a bane.

+Atk for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Eldigan to 10. With +10 merges, Eldigan's Atk stat will reach 55. This helps him widen the range of foes whom he can deal with within one attack.

At +10 merges, you may be able to rely on his Spd at this point so a +Spd can work especially because this is a superboon for Eldigan. If you go for his special refinement, keep Fury 3 and get Brazen Atk/Spd 3 as his sacred seal, he can reach 45 Spd at Brazen range which is a range that is more than reliable.

Mystletainn's Evolution:

Mystletainn can be evolved into Dark Mystletainn through the Weapon Refinery.

Dark Mystletainn lowers his special skill's default cooldown by one. Additionally, if his special triggers in combat the cooldown count will be reduced by two. This makes Eldigan great for long battles and multi-map challenges. It allows for very easy Vantage sweep for Eldigan if he is given a proper set-up beforehand.

Eldigan is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Eldigan Strengths

Cavalry unit with decent bulk

Eldigan is a perfect unit to have in the front lines because of his high mobility and decent bulk, If you are planning to deploy him into all-cavalry teams, make sure to integrate defensive skills like Ward Cavalry and Fortify Cavalry to improve his bulk.

Speed up special trigger with Mystletainn

Mystletainn accelerates Eldigan's special trigger by -1. It allows Growling Light or any other special to be actiavted more frequently. This will be very important in prolonged engagements such as Grand Conquest or Rival Domains.

Huge All-Stat Buff from Fury and Special Refinement

Eldigan's native A skill is Fury 3 which grants him +3 to all stats, but inflicts -6 HP every time he exits combat. A good statline allows him to be deadly in both phases, but make sure to pair him up with healers to make up for the after-combat damage. Reyson or Leanne makes a great support unit for Eldigan as they are both dancers that provide passive healing.

This completely stacks with his special refinement effect that is also equivalent to the effects of Fury 3. This makes it a +6 to all stats with a -12 HP penalty every time he exits combat.

If you prefer, you can also integrate skills such as Vantage 3 or Brazen skills to take advantage of tis HP side-effect. Another option would be to replace his A slot with a skill like Distant Counter instead as Fury 3 is already present in the kit.

Eldigan Weaknesses

Low Spd

Eldigan has low Spd. He will be taken out by many enemies if ever he is attacked. Make use of his high mobility to pick the right targets and prolong his presence in the battlefield!

Low Res

Eldigan's Res only sits at 19 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for magic users to take him out. Be mindful of Eldigan's positioning in relation to magical units that can easily take him out.

Weak to Cavalry Effective Weapons

Eldigan takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
