Is There New Game Plus?

No New Game Plus in the Post-Game

Unfortunately, there is no New Game Plus in Unicorn Overlord. Players that beat the game get to unlock the new and hardest difficulty setting called True Zenoiran which unlocks the permadeath feature.

Beyond this, no other additions have been officially mentioned by Atlus. We can only hope that New Game Plus gets enough player demand for them to consider adding it in the game!

Start a New Game With Higher Difficulty

Unicorn Overlord - Pick Difficulty

In exchange for not having a New Game Plus, players can freely start a new game on another difficulty. Challenge yourself by tackling the game on various difficulties!

Toggling between difficulties on the options menu is also doable except for when you choose True Zenoiran difficulty which automatically enables permadeath.

Replay the Game for Different Outcomes

Unicorn Overlord - Melisandre Recruit-Execute

Unicorn Overlord is a game with multiple endings and all choices made can trigger different endings. To unlock a different outcome each time, keep playing with an aim to unlock multiple endings.

Take note of the character's reactions to your choices, and decide if you wish to let them go, execute, or recruit them to your party.

Play on True Zenoiran Mode

Tackle the hardest difficulty of the game by choosing to play on True Zenoiran difficulty that features permadeath! This only applies to an entire unit getting wiped out during a Battle Stage.

Affected units will be darkened, labeled as retreated, and cannot be deployed. Also take note that you can't change the game difficulty once you have picked this game mode!
