The Unicorn Ring marks the first stage that Alain, Scarlett, Lex, Josef, and Chloe are playable. Except for Scarlett, you can expect to have these characters be part of your units in future stages.

The Unicorn Ring lets you use up to 3 units. This stage has several predetermined units that will ease you into learning the game's different mechanics. Click on the leader's name to see how each Unit Formation operates in this stage.

Alain's Unit

Alain has natural durability thanks to his Noble Guard passive. Partnering this with Scarlett's Quick Heal helps ensure his survivability.

Scarlett also serves as the only Magick user for this battle. Her Holy Light will come in handy against heavily armored units near the end of the stage.

Lex's Unit

It is often inadvisable to have units with only one member. This stage's predetermined unit for Lex is meant to show the dangers of engaging combat alone.

Halfway through the stage, Chloe will join this unit and support Lex's headstrong approach by offering healing with First Aid.

Josef's Unit

Josef's Unit showcases the difference in mobility between Infantry and Cavalry units, allowing you to come to Lex's aid during this stage.

We also see good synergy from how Josef's Pursuit helps finish off the damage dealt by Chloe's Long Thrust.

The Unicorn Ring Walkthrough

#	Step by Step Guide
1	Deploy Alain's Unit from the Command Post.
2	Have Alain's Unit battle the Zenoiran Axebreaker Unit nearby. Your first clash will stagger the enemy. Engage the second battle to learn about the First Strike Mechanic before finishing the enemy off.
3	Garrison Palevia Town then Move Lex's unit Southwest. Secure the safety of Palevia Town. Then, as part of the tutorial, Lex will be overwhelmed by the opponents he faces.
4	Deploy Josef's unit to defend Lex. You'll learn how to swap in units to aid units in danger. After Josef wins the battle, the rest of the enemies are scared off.
5	Recover Lex's HP with the Healing Tonic. Alain's unit will move towards Lex's position to share 3x Healing Tonic (S). Use one to heal Lex back up to full health. The team will then make their way southeast.
6	Rout the remaining enemy forces. Take what you've learned as you whittle down the remaining forces on the map. While you could let Josef overpower the enemy, this is a good chance to funnel some EXP into Alain or Lex's units.
7	Bypass Hodrick's Phys. Def with Scarlett's Magick. To finish the stage, you'll have to take down Hodrick. While most members might struggle to leave a strong dent, Scarlett should have no problem blasting him with Holy Light.
