Auch's Unit will be the unit to fend off the Hunters and garrison in the Watch Tower. This team will also provide Magickal Assist to nearby allies.

Be aware that this unit has no healers and is best deployed when the path is cleared of Cavalries as they may target Auch's Unit with their Wild Rush skill.

Recruiting Auch

Auch is a recruitable character and will join the Liberation after successfully finishing the The Self-Effacing Sorcerer side quest should you choose to spare him.

Recruiting Auch before starting this quest is recommended as there will be Hunters in this quest and Magickal Assists are necessary for easy enemy defeat.

Josef's Unit

Josef's Unit is the core team against Cavalries. Nominate this team to receive the fall when enemy cavalry units use Wild Rush, Josef can use Heal to regain back their strength in no time.

You can either choose Clive or Josef as this unit's leader as both will be best for fast mobility.

Lex's Unit is only utilized at the beginning of this battle as there is only one Thief Unit.

Having Lex as the party leader is optimal as the nearby Watch Tower, while garrisoned by the enemy, will use Ranged Assist when their allied units battle and Lex's leader effect will ensure that the unit will take less damage when receiving such assists.

The Battle for Paradis Walkthrough

#	Step by Step Guide
1	Wait, Deploy, and Provoke Deploying any units right away will cause the incoming thief unit to use Plunder and run away after. Wait for it to approach your base and deploy Lex and Auch's Unit. Immediately after, use Provoke on the Thief's unit to stop it in its tracks and make it fight Lex's Unit.
2	Clear Out the Watch Tower and Fall Back As Lex's Unit is set to defeat the incoming Thief Unit, Have Auch's team defeat the enemy unit garrisoned in the Watch Tower. After doing so, it is crucial that you fall back so as not to be the brunt of the nearby Cavalry Unit's Wild Rush. Getting hit by it will debilitate this team greatly.
3	Deploy Josef's Unit After defeating the enemy unit garrisoned in the Watch Tower, you will have enough Valor to deploy your last unit. Deploy Josef's Unit and immediately head towards the Cavalries. The enemy units will be using Wild Rush to the nearest team you have, so it is optimal that this team will take the damage instead of Auch's. You can utilize Auch's Magick Assist when battling the enemy unit.
4	Garrison the Watch Tower After the enemy is defeated, Have Auch's unit garrison in the watch tower. Auch's unit will be here for the rest of the battle to provide Magick Support.
5	Head for the Enemy Command Post Finally, have Josef's unit charge through and take over the enemy command post to finish the quest. You will be assisted by Auch's unit in this battle.
