Certain Side Quests will reward plenty of Divine Shards to buy powerful items and equipment. One Side Quest that rewards 15 Divine Shards early is “The Winged Knight” quest found south of the Walled City of Barbatimo.

Quest Details | Quest Location |
---|---|
The Winged Knight Enemy Level: Lv. 4 ・Execute Mandrin for x15 Divine Shards |
|
The Unyielding Shield Enemy Level: Lv. 12 ・Have Monica stay in the Melleuve Checkpoint for x30 Divine Shards |
Side quests may reward you differently according to the choices you make. Remember to refer to our guide above to see what choices to make to get Divine Shards.
Note that choosing to get Divine Shards for these quests may have you miss on other rewards such as recruiting new characters.
Divine Shards can be obtained by picking up some of the sparkling items on the ground across the overworld too.
The open-world locations for these Divine Shards are fixed and, thus, can be obtained early on by running through the world and avoiding fights as much as possible.
An unlimited amount of Divine Shards can be farmed through mining. They are, however, the rarest material you can randomly mine from the minigame.
It is recommended to collect the Divine Shards scattered across the overworld first before doing the mining minigame to farm Divine Shards.
Mining is also a source of Treasure Maps, which will lead you to hidden treasures containing rare items and equipment.
Cornia Quarry, located south of the Cornia region, is unlocked after The Mercenary's Trial Side Quest and is the earliest quarry you can unlock.

Some of these locations are well hidden and may require you to pass through terrain or by other means. Some locations can only be accessed after finishing some parts of the Main Quest, some Side Quests, or through Deliveries such as Ouvrir Harbor's ship.
Equipment | Equipment Stats | Stat and Skill Bonuses |
---|---|---|
White Cat-Ear Hood |
・ Phys. DEF: 0
・ Mag. DEF: 5
|
・Passive Skill: Quick Impetus
・Base PP+1 ・Initiative+10 |
The White Cat-Ear Hood grants the Quick Impetus Passive Skill, which gives the target 1 Active Point and allows them to perform more actions within the round.
This allows your offensive characters a chance to finish off the enemy or another opportunity to use multi-target attacks to deal massive area-of-effect damage.
With this passive's power, it costs 4 Passive Points to use. To achieve this early, have a caster equip the Cleric's Cane and a Lapis Pendant to reach the casting cost of the skill.
Equipment | Equipment Stats | Stat and Skill Bonuses |
---|---|---|
Angel Plume |
・ Phys. DEF: 0
・ Mag. DEF: 0
|
・Passive Skill: Tailwind
・Initiative +20 |
The Angel Plume allows the user to use the Tailwind Passive Skill, granting a row of allies +10 initiative for the battle. Flying classes gain +20 initiative instead.
This accessory pairs with aggressive back-row attackers that plan on wiping the enemy team before they can react.
Equipment | Equipment Stats | Stat and Skill Bonuses |
---|---|---|
Heavenwyvern Reins |
・ Phys. DEF: 3
・ Mag. DEF: 3
|
・Passive Skill: Aerial Wing
・Initiative +6 ・Max HP+10 |
Another great accessory for aggressive back row attackers, the Heavenwyvern Reins grants bonus Physical Attack to the user if its HP is full, but also a buff that grants their next attack True Strike, guaranteeing a hit.
Dew of Strength, Knowledge, and Keenness are all consumable items that provide a permanent buff to a character's stat.
These are generally better to buy early on as most equipment will be replaced after a couple of stages.
Only 5 of each dew can be applied to a character.

Trade 30 Divine Shards in the Divine Shard Exchange to complete the “An Angel's Request” side quest to have Ochlys join your cause.
Divine Shards can be used to purchase powerful Items and Equipment from Ochlys, the Divine Shard Exchange vendor.
Most of the wide selection of items Ochlys sells are locked and can be unlocked by spending more Divine Shards from purchasing items from her.
Ochlys is located in Rondmort Church, directly south of the Walled City of Barbatimo. This location can be unlocked by completing The Winged Knight Side Quest, which has Lv. 4 enemies.
Another early location can be found in Palevia Town accessible only after unlocking the access to the ship in Ouvrir Harbor.
