If you have finished The Priestess, Abducted before doing this quest, Laurent will be aiding you in this journey and may or may not join the Liberation afterward , this depends if you have completed four Liberation Quests after the said quest. If this is your fourth, then he will join the Liberation.

Before doing this quest, it is recommended that you have expanded at least 1 of your party's unit slots from 3 to 4. You will only use two units in The Battle for Fontille, one as your main attacker and the second as damage support. We recommend the Unit Leaders listed above. This unit will be used for easy enemy defeat. This unit ensures multiple damage while guaranteeing every hit is lethal.

The Sellswords, Magellan and Berenice will make sure that the enemies are never given a turn to attack with their Killing Chain skill, while Berengeria ensures that an entire row will be destroyed using her Death Spin attack. Adel is mostly for mobility, and to avoid enemy units as much as possible. If you do not have the fighters recommended for this unit, hiring mercenaries of the same class is a good alternative. You can replace Berengaria with Bruno as he can also deal row damage using his Wide Smash attack.

Recruiting Adel

Adel is a recruitable character and will join the Liberation after successfully finishing the Province of Famine side quest.

Having Adel in this quest is good but you can also pick either Clive or Josef to join this unit. Alternatively, you can replace him with any hired Knight mercenary.

Auch will be all alone in this unit. His only goal is to provide Magickal Support for Adel's team. Since Adel has higher mobility, this ensures that Auch is protected and will not be targeted by approaching enemy units.

Recruiting Auch

Auch is a recruitable character and will join the Liberation after successfully finishing the The Self-Effacing Sorcerer side quest should you choose to spare him.

Recruiting Auch before starting this quest is good but you can also pick Yahna to lead this unit. Alternatively, you can replace him with any hired Wizard or Witch mercenary.

Step by Step Guide

Capture the Enemy Command Post This is pretty straightforward as the enemy command post is just beside yours. Deploy both units and have them both go for the enemy command post, ignoring the Hunter and Wizard enemy support. If you believe you cannot do the battle in one go, it is preferred that you take control of the Watchtower first. If Laurent is present here, have him clear out the Watchtower for you. Go for the command post and have Auch support you by using his Magickal Assist, the quest will be finished upon victory.
