Uprooting the Rock Rats marks the first stage where Nina can be recruited after the battle by choosing to talk to her first and not fighting her head-on. You will be joined by Mille and her unit in this battle only.

Auch's unit is your best bet against Warrior Units as they are weak against Magick Attacks. Having Alain protect both Auch and Yahna is recommended for this team since Alain can use Noble Guard for protection.

This unit, however, has no healing protection, so this unit should stay away from Watch Towers as much as possible since the magick users at the back have low HP and low Physickal DEF. Auch can also lend his Magickal Assist when necessary.

Recruiting Auch

Auch is a recruitable character and will join the Liberation after successfully finishing the The Self-Effacing Sorcerer side quest should you choose to spare him.

Recruiting Auch before starting this quest is recommended as there will be Warriors and Hoplites in this quest and Magickal Assists are necessary for easy enemy defeat.

Bruno's Unit

Bruno's Unit is a pure force dedicated to defeating Hoplites and Soldiers, it can also deal a lot of damage to Warrior units. While having Bruno in front seems best, he has low DEF and is very susceptible to Warrior enemy attacks.

With Bruno's leader effect, you can breeze through Barricades easily.

Bruno is a recruitable character and will join the Liberation after successfully finishing the As the Tricorns Ride side quest.

Bruno is a force to be reckoned with in this battle and his leader effect is very useful in the stage, it is recommended that you recruit him first before starting this quest.

Sharon's Unit

Have Sharon's Unit tail the first two units as this unit will only be doing Healing Assists in this stage. Having Chloe on the team ensures that if ever an enemy appears as an ambush, their numbers can get down easily while Lex protects the whole team and deals damage as well.

Sharon is a recruitable character accessible by finishing the The Winged Knight side quest.

After defeating Mandrin, you will have the option to recruit Sharon or not. It is advisable to recruit her as she will be a great healer for the party.

Aubin's Unit

There is a treasure located at the top of the map that can only be collected after charging through Barricades and defeating the Hunter enemy unit enclosed in Mantlets. This unit is only designated for that task.

This team can hold the fort long enough to battle the enemy without damage. Having Aubin as the leader of this unit will make destroying the Barricades much easier using his leader effect.

#	Step by Step Guide
1	Deploy and Destroy Mille's team will automatically be here at the beginning. Deploy Bruno and Auch's Team and join her, then you can use Mille's Heavy Swing Valor Skill to destroy the Barricades.
2	Use Auch's Unit to Defeat Enemy and Fall Back Have Auch's destination be to defeat the first enemy to the right, once the enemy unit has been vanquished, it is recommended that you fall back because the Hunter enemy units garrisoned at the Watch Tower nearby will cast Arrow Rain on you. Do not move forward until the watch tower is destroyed.
3	Destroy the Barricades Set for Mille and Bruno to destroy the barricades. There will be incoming enemies that will fight you while you do so, have Bruno's unit defeat these Warrior and Soldier enemy units. There will be a treasure on the ground exactly at the last barricade, you will automatically pick this up and get a Conveyance Stone
4	Deploy Sharon's Unit Destroying Barricades grants you Valor Points, and once you have enough, deploy Sharon's Unit to tail the rest of the party.
5	Clear out the Watch Tower Before going to the Watch Tower, the enemy unit will have used Arrow Rain, fight the Hunter enemy units, and utilize Sharon's Healing Assist. After clearing out the tower, have Auch garrison there for Magickal Assist later in the battle.
6	Deploy Aubin's Unit Once you have accumulated 1 Valor Point after destroying enough Barricades and the enemy unit at the Watch Tower, you may now deploy Aubin's unit. Have him set to defeat the enemy surrounded by the Mantlet up north, destroying barricades on the way. Once the enemy has been defeated, collect the treasure beside the Mantlet and get a Hallowed Corne Ash.
7	Tak to Nina Have Mille talk to Nina. Talking to Nina will not make her join the battle but this will ensure that she will join at the end of the party. Defeat her to gain a Counter Belt. You can garrison at Tiche Donne Town and an NPC will provide you with a Healing Font (S).
8	Use the Campsite Beside the town is a campsite. You can use the Campsite nearby to heal or revive fallen members, use this as there will be more battles moving forward.
9	Collect and Defeat After utilizing the campsite, use Mille's unit to collect the treasure nearby and get a Light Tailfeather, there will be enemy units who will suddenly appear in the woods on the way to the second Watch Tower, Use Bruno's unit to battle them.
10	Defeat Bryce You can head towards Bryce and defeat him now, but there will be a Watch Tower that will offer Healing Assist to Bryce's Unit. Have any of your nearby units defeat them first. Next, you can use Auch's unit to defeat Bryce, however, he may not be defeated in one battle. An optimal option is to use Bruno's Unit to battle Bryce while having Auch use his Magickal Assist leader effect for maximum damage. After defeating Bryce, you will receive an Ironclad Towershield.
