Before doing this quest, make sure that you are able to hire a Gryphon Knight Mercenary as they are the most effective in this battle. You can hire mercenaries by accessing any Forts that you own and spending Honor, each fort will have different mercenaries for hire.

The Battle for Lisiere lets you use up to 5 units but only three will be enough for this fight. We recommend the Unit Leaders listed above. Click on the leader's name to see our recommended Unit Formation for that leader in this stage.

Clive's Unit is designed to battle units with multiple members such as the Wizard enemy unit enclosed in the Mantlet.

This unit also focuses on prolonging the fight by attacking multiple times and at the same time not taking any damage, taking advantage of Josef's Pursuit and Holy Barrier and both Knight's Assaulting Lance.

Hodrick's Unit is customized to fight Knights in this stage.

Selvie will use her Passive Curse on the entire row of Knights and will cripple their PP, while the Gryphon Knight will attack the entire row of enemies with one fell swoop using her High Swing skill, which also deals +50% damage to Cavalry units.

Selvie is a recruitable character encountered in the Overworld. She is found near one of the Stone Circles and will join you immediately after talking to her.

Mordon's Unit

Mordon's Unit will be the most effective against the Hoplite enemy unit present in this stage. Mordon, Bruno, and Nina are the Hoplites' worst enemies due to their brute force that can destroy enemy shields.

Having Nina in this stage is great but not recommended as her side quest, Uprooting the Rock Rats, requires you to be at least a bit stronger to finish. If you do not have Nina yet, you can replace her with any hired Gladiator or Warrior mercenary.

Recruiting Mordon

Mordon is a recruitable character obtained by finishing the Battle for Barbatimo liberation quest, provided you have chosen to spare him.

Having Mordon in this battle will prove extremely useful as you will need to destroy the enemy defenses quickly to win.

#	Step by Step Guide
1	Use Josef's Unit to Defeat the Wizards Inside the Mantlet After deploying all your units. Use Clive's unit to go and defeat the Wizards below, hiding inside the Mantlet. The Wizards must be defeated first as they will provide Magick Assist to allied units.
2	Use Hodrick's Unit to defeat the Cavalries Next, assign Hodrick's team to defeat the Cavalries in the middle. This will be an easy feat.
3	Use Mordon's Unit to defeat the Hoplites Mordon's team will be responsible for defeating the Hoplites just above the Cavalries.
4	Have Clive Battle the Enemy Command Post After defeating all three, the most effective unit to battle the enemy command post will be Clive's. Have him battle the enemy and finish the quest.
