Joins After Completing A Shifting Tide

If Mandrin was spared during your previous encounter, he will re-appear in the story in Elheim, together with Celeste and Gammel.

After you complete the mission A Shifting Tide, all three characters will join the Liberation Army.

Needs to be Spared to be Recruited

Mandrin will first appear in Cornia, during one of the early missions. If you wish to recruit Mandrin once you reach Elheim, you must spare Mandrin, when the choice first comes up.

1	Row Shot ┗ Row with Most Combatants	Row Shot allows Mandrin to deal 100 potency attacks to each enemy in a row he attacks. Set to Row with Most Combatants to maximize the potential damage of Row Shot.
2	Dual Shot ┗ ▲ 2 or More Enemies	Set Dual Shot to ▲ 2 or More Enemies to help Mandrin optimize his damage in single and multi-target situations.
3	Single Shot ┗ Lowest HP	Setting Single Shot to Lowest HP will help Mandrin finish off enemies really quickly as Mandrin has good Critical Rate.
4	Eagle Eye ┗ Flying Enemies Present	Aside from Thieves, Hunters are excellent damagers to Flying Enemies, making them receive damage when hit by arrows. Have this priority set when there are Flying Enemies in a stage.
5	Eagle Eye ┗ Highest Evasion	It is helpful to prioritize Highest Evasion for Eagle Eye as this will result in a True Strike ignoring the enemy's evasion rate.
6	Pursuit	Keeping Pursuit blank will allow Mandrin to contribute damage, even if it is not his turn.
7	Aerial Snipe ┗ Flying Enemies Present	Capitalize on Aerial Snipe's potential of 150 potency by setting it to Flying Enemies Present.
