Complete The Winged Knight Quest

Before recruiting Ochlys, you first meet her early on past Thulust Harbor towards the southeast, requesting your assistance to rid free of the Black Talons from pillaging precious Divine Shards from Rondmort Church she was tasked to collect.

Complete the subsequent quest, The Winged Knight, to unlock the next step of recruiting Ochlys.

Spare Mandrin

At the end of The Winged Knight battle stage, Ochlys requests to execute the enemy leader, Mandrin. It is recommended that Mandrin be set free to encounter him as an ally in the later chapters of the story.

Start An Angel's Request Quest

After finishing The Winged Knight, speak to Ochlys in front of Rondmort Church to start her Overworld Quest, An Angel's Request.

Ochlys asks you to recruit her to the Liberation's ranks, but only after completing her task of collecting Divine Shards.

Ochlys will then open the Divine Shard Exchange shop where you can exchange Divine Shards you've collected for rare and powerful Items and Equipment.

Collect and Exchange 30 Divine Shards

To finally recruit Ochlys, complete her quest, An Angel's Request, by exchanging 30 Divine Shards with her in the Divine Shard Exchange shop.

Completing Ochlys' request rewards you with a Carnelian Pendant, a Lapis Pendant, War Funds, and of course, Ochlys' assistance in the Liberation. Other Heavensward Knights will now also take over as the primary vendor for the Divine Shard Exchange.

Collect Divine Shards by completing Side Quests, or picking up sparkling items in the Overworld. After exhausting the previous options, you can also obtain Divine Shards through mining, albeit rarely.

We recommend to exchange your first 30 Divine Shards for the following equipment :
