Valor Points are an important mechanic during battle in Unicorn Overlord. They let you deploy units and use Valor Skills on the battlefield.
You can restore Valor Points by using a Hallowed Corn Ash, defeating enemies, liberating towns and fortresses, and witdrawing deployed units.
Hallowed Corn Ash is an early game item that lets you revive an ally or recover 2 Valor Points during a battle stage.
You can get Hallowed Corn Ash early on by heading southwest from the starting Town to the nearest ruins, and interacting with it.
Defeat enemy units during Main Quests and Side Quests to gain Valor Points! Completing quests also rewards you with Renown Points, Honors, and War Funds, so make sure to complete them to grab extra items and rewards!
Liberate towns and fortresses during quests to gain Valor Points. Winning an encounter is enough to gain 1 Valor Point, so make sure to always get the upper hand when your units can't take down enemy units within one encounter.
Strategize, win battles, and liberate towns and fortresses to gain Valor Points and exp!
You can also replenish valor points by withdrawing deployed units.
To withdraw units and replenish Valor Points, select the unit that you wish to withdraw then select the Command Post. Choose Withdraw Unit to Replenish 1 Valor Point.
Doing this should give back 1 Valor Point per unit that you withdrew.
Valor Points are needed to execute Valor Skills during missions. We can stock up to 10 Valor Points per quest, so don't be afraid to spend them as needed!
Valor Points are also needed for deploying units. Make sure to plan ahead on which unit to deploy and counter enemies to win against enemies and gain more Valor Points in return!
Valor Skills are special skills that units can use during a quest. To use Valor Skills, make sure to have extra Valor Points to spend and select the unit that you wish to use a Valor Skill from.
You can use your character's Valor Skills by doing the following:
Take note that Valor Skills differ in scope or radius, so make adjustments as needed before executing!
At the start of each Battle Stage, 3 Valor Points are provided for deploying starting units. Check the Battle Map for the nearest enemy encounter, take note of classes you're up against, then organize a unit that has an advantage before deploying.
Each class differs in strengths and weaknesses, so adjust your starting units accordingly to win battles and replenish Valor Points!
