A Solitary Resistance marks the first stage where Rolf can be playable. Rolf's Unit will join you mid-battle and will be letting you take control of them eventually.

Before doing this quest, make sure that you have expanded two of your unit slots from 2 to 3 so you can utilize all your party members in each unit. You can expand your unit slots by spending Honor.

Alain's Unit

Alain is vital as the Leader of this unit as he will be responsible for talking to Rolf. Aubin can do damage to thieves as he can have another attack by the end of each battle and Chloe will be responsible for healing.

Travis can bypass other thieves' Evade skill as he can attack twice in a row. He together with Lex on the front row will make Josef take on the offense as he can pierce through enemy rows.

Clive's Unit

Clive's unit will be for gathering treasures as he has an advantage in movement speed. Having Hodrick in his party will be best for his protection.

A Solitary Resistance Walkthrough

#	Step by Step Guide
1	Deploy All Units You can deploy all of your 3 units as early as the battle begins.
2	Talk to Rolf From here, you will have to make your units go into separate ways. Talk to Rolf by directing Alain's team to their position. Rolf will be defeating enemies as you move forward.
3	Command Travis' Team to Fight the Black Talon Scout Unit While Alain's team is going for Rolf's. Travis' Unit will need to defeat the Thief unit, the Black Talon Scout.
4	Get Clive's Unit to fight the Black Talon Axebearer Unit Clive's team is ineffective against the thief unit so make sure that you choose the enemy team of the Housecarls, the Black Talon Axebearer, which are weak to Cavalries.
5	Garrison in Fort Rimitz Once all commands have been achieved and Rolf has joined your team, have the nearest unit to garrison at Fort Rimitz and gain Valor Points. Make sure to use Clive's team to get the treasure glint nearby to get a Holy Herb.
6	Collect the Treasures Now that the path is clear, you can now go for Gammel. However, there are still two glinting treasures containing Smoked Nuts and Empowering Draught. Use Clive's unit to collect these as he is the fastest in movement speed and have the others gather near Gammel. Clive will have to deal with the two remaining units but this will be an easy task for their team.
7	Have Rolf's Team Battle Gammel The best unit to battle Gammel will be Rolf's as Archers have True Strike that bypasses Gammel's Evade. You will not be able to defeat Gammel however in just one battle.
8	Use Wild Rush Valor Skill The optimal choice for the next step is to utilize Clive's proximity to Gammel and use his Wild Rush Valor Skill to disable Gammel once and for all. After Gammel has been defeated, you will receive Viperfang as a reward.
