The Battle for Barbatimo marks the first stage where Mordon joins you. You can choose to recruit Mordon after his defeat in battle.

Since the enemies here are Hoplites and Warriors, this unit is the most effective against them. Hoplites and Warriors are weak to Magick. Having Alain on the frontline will benefit the unit by having a strong defender.

Recruiting Auch

Auch is a recruitable character and will join the Liberation after successfully finishing the The Self-Effacing Sorcerer side quest should you choose to spare him.

Recruiting Auch before starting this quest is recommended as the main enemies in this battle will be Hoplites and Warriors.

Rolf's Unit

This unit is reserved for the wandering units that will come near. Wandering enemy units are mostly Soldiers and Housecarls, so this unit is the best to battle with them.

Having Rolf as the leader of this team will make his Ranged Assist leader effect very utilizable.

Sharon's Unit

Sharon's Unit will mostly be here for healing. Though this stage may not need healing, it is still optimal to have a healing unit as a backup.

Have Sharon as the leader of this unit and make use of her Healing Assist leader effect. Let her tail the two other units for healing.

Recruiting Sharon

Sharon is a recruitable character accessible by finishing the The Winged Knight sidequest.

After defeating Mandrin, you will have the option to recruit Sharon or not. It is advisable to recruit her as she will be a great healer for the party.

#	Step by Step Guide
1	Deploy and Wait After deploying all units, it is best not to move and wait for the enemy units to move forward and approach you. Wandering units here are mostly composed of Soldiers and Housecarls. Have Rolf's team defeat these enemies and feel free to utilize Auch's Magickal Assist leader effect.
2	Assign Auch's Unit to Defeat the Shielded Enemy Now that the path is cleared. Have Auch's Unit battle the enemy unit inside the Mantlets. These enemies are Hoplites and are therefore weak against Magick Wielders. Note that Ranged Assist will not work here as they are protected.
3	Defeat Reinforcements After clearing out the path, you can proceed to the enemy command post. Mordon however, will release reinforcements. Use Rolf's team to defeat these reinforcements, Magickal Assist may aid you here so feel free to use that.
4	Battle Mordon's Unit There will be more reinforcements but they are at a farther distance than you are with Mordon, so feel free to battle Mordon now using Auch's Unit. You can use Rolf's Ranged Assist and Sharon's Healing Assist to aid you in battle. If the enemy unit has not been defeated in one battle, you can utilize Rolf's Arrow Rain Valor Skill to pulverize the enemy once and for all.
