The Elven Knight marks the first stage where Ithilion joins you automatically after the battle, considering you have talked to him with Rosalinde.

Before doing this quest, make sure that you have expanded 4 of your party's unit slots from 3 to 4. Additionally, if your Renown is at rank B, you can begin promoting any party member you want to. You can expand your units, hire Mercenaries, and promote your allies by spending Honor in Forts you own.

In The Elven Knight using only 4 units will be sufficient as Ithilion's Unit will join you in this stage. We recommend the Unit Leaders listed above. Click on the leader's name to see our recommended Unit Formation for that leader in this stage.

Since this stage is riddled with armored units. Alain's team is the best to deploy against the Hoplites and Fighters in this stage.

With Mordon and Nina both offering DEF ignoring attacks and Aubin able to hit rows of enemies with his Rolling Axe that also lowers enemy DEF. Alain will have no difficulty dealing the last blows to any opponent.

Clive's Unit is your palette swap for Alain's Unit since this unit also is strong against armored and shielded enemies.

With Auch and Yahna's magickal abilities, Hoplite shields are useless. Virginia also has a shield specifically tailored for armored units, her Iron Crusher that ignores 50% DEF and has +50 potency to Armored Units. Have Clive as this unit's leader for faster mobility.

Josef's Unit is your go-to unit against Wyvern Knights and Swordfighters. All the Sellswords join forces to create the ultimate team for a never-ending battle.

Equipped with their Killing Chain and Following Slash the enemies are sure to receive multiple strikes from not just one but three of your best fighters. Swordfighters and Wyvern Knights may have high Evasion but that does not even fare against multiple yet lethal damage caused by your allies. Additionally, Josef can guard, heal, and use his Pursuit ability for one more attack.

Hilda's unit is not part of the team as her unit will be here for treasure collecting.

This does not mean that the team is not important as you will be using Rosalinde to talk to Ithilion, Liza to disarm the enemy units in the Watchtower with her Smoke Bolt, Hilda to gather treasures that are unreached by any other unit, and Bruno here for maximum damage against incoming enemies since he has the highest HP and can fight really well with his Wide Smash.

Hilda is a recruitable character and will join the Liberation after having Primm talk to her and finishing the battle in The Champion of Order side quest.

Having Hilda in this unit will make traversing easier, especially in terrains where only flying units can go.

#	Step by Step Guide
1	Deploy and Defeat Enemies Deploy all units. From here on out, these units will go defeat enemies, the Forts do not give any treasures so it is not required to garrison in any but should you need Valor Points, you know where to go. First things first, get Hilda within the Watchtower's range and use a Hallowed Corne Ash, then utilize Liza's Smoke Bolt to disable Ranged Assist from the enemy guarding the tower. From here, have nearby enemies be defeated by your team, make sure that you see the differences in damage, and choose which one is best suitable for the battle. On the other end of the map, Ithilion's Unit will also be fighting their way on the way to you.
2	Defend Ithilion After doing some battles, Ithilion will be on his way to you. Make Hilda's team rendezvous with Ithilion, and since Rosalinde is in your party, have a conversation between Rosalinde and Ithilion. All the while, enemy units will be charging for Ithilion, have your core team back him up and defeat the enemies that target him, and continue using the same strategy. Ithilion will be joining forces with you and he will be controllable as well. Have Ithilion meet with the others while Hilda's team gets to the treasure near the shore and collects a Miracle Fruit.
3	Defeat Magali You can now charge through the enemy command post and defeat Magali, but first have Hilda's unit collect the nearby treasures. Due to their mobility, it's most likely that the Cavalry Units will be the first ones to get to Magali than Hilda to the treasures. Use a Light Feather to double her movement speed and get the treasure on the next island to get a Gold Hourglass before heading up north and collecting the treasure beside the Cyclone Effigy, getting War Funds 10000G in return. After collecting everything, have Josef or Clive's team defeat Magali, with Ithilion's Magickal Assist as a backup. You will receive a Warrior's Medallion upon successful victory.
