Joins After Completing A Shifting Tide

If Gammel was spared during your previous encounter, he will re-appear in the story in Elheim, together with Celeste and Mandrin.

After you complete the mission A Shifting Tide, all three characters will join the Liberation Army.

Needs to be Spared to be Recruited

Gammel will first appear in Cornia, during one of the early missions. If you wish to recruit Gammel once you reach Elheim, you must spare Gammel, when the choice first comes up.
