Prepare Your Units and Their Equipment Prepare Consumable Items Unlock and Clear Four Late-Game Liberation Quests

This leveling strategy involves having a low-level unit clear four late-game Liberation Quests using the Gryphon Knight and Sellsword's Valor Skills and carefully using consumable items.

The characters from this unit can power-level from Lv. 15 to Lv. 36. A character with a Rookie Egg equipped can level up to Lv. 42.

This strategy also unlocks Srom Town, which sells general end-game equipment such as Steel and Spellsteel equipment.

Note that changing the difficulty to Story is heavily recommended. While the strategy may work in higher difficulties, stronger units and more consumables may be required to clear them.

Gryphon Knight

A Gryphon Knight in the unit is necessary for their Hastened Call Valor Skill, which increases the unit's mobility. Set them as the unit's leader, and you can quickly move through the map unobstructed over traps and terrain.

Gryphon Knights also deal bonus damage to Cavalry classes, which is quite common in these high-level fights and, therefore, will be our main AoE DPS in the unit with High Swing as its primary Active Skill.

Any Gryphon Knight can be used with this leveling strategy; however, one with Phys. ATK, Crit. Rate, or Initiative Growths is recommended. Fort Mainteneaut, Fort Paradis, Fort Plaine, and the Walled City of Eucuit are all locations where you can hire Gryphon Knight Mercenaries.

Fran is a unique Gryphon Knight you recruit after completing The Priestess, Abducted Main Quest.

Sellsword

Sellswords are also necessary for the unit as they will be used for their Valor Skill, Summon Warriors. The Sellsword unit summoned from this skill scales with the stage level, not the user. In Story difficulty, this unit usually hits the boss for 90% of their health, and that's when your unit comes in for the final hit.

Note that you will have to deal the final blow to the boss, or you won't gain the EXP for the kill. The Sellsword unit may occasionally kill the boss in one battle, and If they do, you would have to restart the stage.

Our Sellsword will be the secondary DPS to kill off any remaining enemies with Pursuit or Killing Chain.

Any Sellsword can be used with this leveling strategy; however, one with Phys. ATK, Crit. Rate, or Accuracy Growths is recommended. You can hire Sellsword Mercenaries in Fort Colmarre and the Walled City of Eucuit.

Berenice is a unique Sellsword you can recruit in The Mercenary's Trial Side Quest.

Cleric

The Cleric is primarily used for the Lyrical Wand. It can provide another Active Point to our Gryphon Knight for another High Swing, effectively doubling its damage output. The Lyrical Wand can be purchased in the Walled City of Barbatimo, unlocked after completing The Battle for Barbatimo.

Though the Cleric is heavily recommended also for its Refresh Passive Skill, another character and class can replace them as long as they can provide the Tailwind buff at the start of combat and deal a fair amount of damage to replace the additional AP lost from Lyrical Wand.

Any Cleric can be used with this leveling strategy. However, one with Initiative Growths is recommended. Fort Chandelis, Fort Epine Morceaux, and the Walled Cities of Barbatimo and Eucuit are locations where you can hire Cleric Mercenaries.

Sharon and Tatiana are unique Clerics you can recruit early in The Winged Knight and The Tormented Helm Side Quests respectively.

Alain

Alain is arguably the most versatile character and can fit in most unit compositions and is, therefore, quite beneficial to have leveled up. It's also recommended that he equip the Rookie Egg for bonus EXP.

Alain's primary role in the unit is to protect the Cleric from hits or debuffs so they can cast Refresh and Active Heal. Viperfang's Poison Slash is used to damage armored classes, which our unit can struggle to damage to being Phys. Atk heavy.

If you plan on leveling other characters, you can still replace Alain with another character. You can replace him with an offensive/defensive hybrid character, an AP provider with White Cat-Ear Hood, or another offensive support while the Sellsword replaces the front-row role.

Prepare Consumable Items

Wind Faerie's Charm x4 Required	Allied units will not incur assist attacks. Last for one battle. ・ Prevents our unit from instantly dying from enemy assists at the start of the battle. ・ One for each battle stage is required.
Beckoning Chime x1 Required	All enemy units in range move toward the user for 10 seconds. Does not affect enemies in towns, forts, or bases. ・ Will be used to lure a group of enemy units away from our undefended Command Post.
Beckoning Bell x2 Required	Targeted enemy unit moves toward the user for 10 seconds. Does not affect enemies in towns, forts, or bases. ・ Will be used to lure an enemy unit away from our undefended Command Post.
Hallowed Corne Ash x2 Required x4-6 Total Recommended	Sacred ash that prevents defeat. Can be used to recover 2 Valor Points. ・ 2 will be used to cast Alain's Valorous Order to gain First Strike against an enemy unit with max Initiative. ・ Primarily used for Alain's Royal Order for a 100% EXP Boost. ・ As an alternative to the Summon Warriors Valor Skill, use these to cast Valorous Order instead.
Liquid Fortune x4 Recommended	Doubles the EXP and gold gained by the user's unit for 20 seconds. ・ Can be used to replace Hallowed Corne Ashes and Valor Order to get a 100% EXP boost. ・ Does not stack with the effects of Valor Order.
Empowering Draught x4 Recommended	Increases damage dealt by the user's unit by 30%. Lasts for one battle. ・ Increases our damage output to deal the final blow to the enemy general and end the stage. ・ Optional, depending on your team's damage output.
Defensive Draught x4 Recommended	Decreases damage taken by the user's unit by 30%. Lasts for one battle. ・ Decreases the damage taken to survive enemy casters with Quick Cast, which always moves first and deals AoE Magick damage

As our team is mainly outnumbered and out-leveled, we'll use consumable items to help clear these seemingly impossible stages.

These items are used to help us survive the battle against the stage's boss, provoke enemy units away from our Command Post, and gain more Valor Points for Valor Skills.

Note that a unit can only have three buffs at a time. It's best to have Royal Order, Wind Faerie Charm, and Defensive/Empowering Draught. In some cases, you may use another Hallowed Corne Ash instead of Valorous Order for a damage boost, damage reduction, and First Strike, allowing our team to move first regardless of Initiative.

Unlock and Clear Four Late-Game Liberation Quests

These end-game liberation stages are located towards the center of Cornia. As long as you have the necessary characters, equipment, and items explained above, you can reliably clear these stages for EXP at a low level.

Liberate Sorm Town for End-Game Weapons

Liberating Sorm gives a significant reward other than EXP. Sorm Town's armorer sells end-game weapons such as Steel and Spellsteel equipment.

Selvie can activate sigils and unlock the Auxiliary Stages within them.

To recruit Selvie, find her standing on top of a sigil in the southeastern section of Cornia and accept to help her in her research.

Clear Auxiliary Stages

Auxiliary stages are repeatable leveling stages where characters can farm EXP in battle and Military Treatises, which are then used for leveling lower-level units to catch up.

Higher-level stages will contain stronger enemies and reward higher-tier Military Treatises, thus yielding more experience for your army.

Use EXP Boosting Items and Skills

Recruiter's Equipment	User Earns +10~20% EXP
Liquid Fortune	Doubles the EXP and gold gained by the user's unit for 20 seconds. Does not stack with Royal Order.

To speed up leveling, use EXP boosting equipment. The Rookie Egg can be purchased from Oevuille Town and is the most efficient equipment for a massive EXP boost. The recruiter's equipment can also be equipped for a bit more EXP bonus. These can be purchased from most early-game Towns in Cornia.

The Royal Order Valor Skill from Alain stacks with the Rookie Egg but does not stack with the effects of Liquid Fortune.
