How to Remove Purple Skills

Spend Skill Points in the Skills Menu

Spend Skill Points in the Skills Menu

You can remove purple or negative skills that affect your Umamusume by spending Skill Points in the Skills menu. Instead of learning the skill normally, you'll use the points to remove it instead.

Negative Skills Also Grant the Base Skill

Removing a purple or negative skill also automatically unlocks the corresponding base skill, if available. For example, removing Standard Distance x allows you to learn Standard Distance ◯ afterward.

How to Get Purple Skills

Low Chance of Getting After Losing an Optional Race

Randomly Obtained when Losing Optional Races

Umamusume you train may occasionally get purple or negative skills after losing or placing 6th place or lower in optional races. Any choice you make during the “Defeat” post-race career event has a rare chance of inflicting a negative skill on your trainee.
