List of Contents
The Golden Route is the story path that leads to what can be considered as the True Ending of Triangle Strategy. Follow the choices indicated below to reach this ending.
Chapter # | Chapter Name | Choice for Golden Route |
---|---|---|
Chapter 7 | A Soul Upon the Scales | Protect or Surrender Roland |
Chapter 9 | Dwindling Light | Transport the Illegal Salt |
Chapter 10a | Beneath a Frigid Sky | Reveal Roland's Identity |
Chapter 11 | Oppressions Under the Sun | Defend the Roselle |
Chapter 15 | A Banner's Worth | Return to Wolffort |
Chapter 17 | If Griefs Could Passions Move | Find Another Way Note: Will only appear if all conditions are met |
To start off your path to the Golden Route, during the Voting phase in Chapter 7, you can either protect or surrender Roland, but there are important things to take note if you are taking one of the routes.
If you chose to protect Roland, you will fight Avlora in Chapter 7a.
Do not use the fire traps during the battle. Keeping them intact is essential to staying in the Golden Route.
Make sure to save before starting the battle in case you activate any Hawk Statuettes.
Chapter 7a: Not a Word, My Friend Story Walkthrough
If you chose to surrender Roland, you will learn about the fire traps later on, as you will not be able to encounter them in battles in Chapter 8b
Chapter 8b: Weather the Storm Story Walkthrough
The next Golden Route flag will be in Chapter 9. During the Voting phase, the decision to transport the illegal salt must win the vote. This will lead you to Chapter 10a: Beneath the Frigid Sky, where another important Voting scene will be held.
Chapter 9: Dwindling Light Story Walkthrough
During the Voting scene in Chapter 10a, persuade your party to reveal Roland's identity to Svarog. This is required for the Golden Route.
Chapter 10a1: A Treacherous Soul Story Walkthrough
The next Golden Route flag is found during Chapter 11. During the Voting scene, persuade your party to defend the Roselle, even if it affects your relations with Hyzante. This will lead you to Chapter 12.
Get the Pink Rock from the Elder's House during the Exploration phase in Chapter 12. Failing to find it in this part of the story will lead to an early game over, but you can load a quicksave from when the exploration began.
Steps to find the Roselle Key | |
---|---|
1 | Enter the Elder's House and speak to him. He will deny the existence of the said key. |
2 | Go out of the Elder's House and speak to Benedict. Afterwards, speak to Frederica to ask her a favor. |
3 | Frederica will talk to the Elder and bring him out of the house. Enter the Elder's House once more an examine the area where the Elder used to be to find the Pink Rock. |
Chapter 12: In the Still of the Night Story Walkthrough
During the Voting phase in Chapter 15, persuade others to return to Wolffort to meet Symon back in the castle as you need to go back in order to continue through the Golden Route.
Also, upon going back to Wolffort, Milo will permanently join your party.
Chapter 17 is the point where the story will branch into different routes leading to their own respective endings.
Later on in the chapter you will be prompted if you want to use the Scales or think of another way, which will only appear as an option if you have met all the conditions in the previous chapters. If the game proceeds to a Voting scene, then you may have missed one of the flags for the Golden Route.
If two options appear on the screen, do not use the Scales and instead choose 'There must be another way!'. Serenoa will then ask himself a few questions, and you must choose the following answers:
Choosing these answers will lead you to a couple more chapters until you reach the Golden Route's ending!
Playable Characters and How to Recruit | |||
---|---|---|---|
Avlora |
Starting Class: Dark General |
Starting Weapon: Berserker III |
|
Aptitude/Specialty: A fierce fighter willing to risk even her own life! ・ Stats increase when her HP is low ・Boasts an incredibly powerful attack, though it is not without danger... |
|||
How to Recruit: Joins in Chapter 17 when following the Golden Route. |
In addition to seeing the Golden Route's ending, the Golden Route is the only way you can recruit Avlora to your party! She will surely be a formidable addition for the difficult battles to come!
The Scales of Conviction will be used for the first time during Chapter 3. The choice whether to travel to the Grand Dunchy of Aesfrost or the Holy State of Hyzante does not matter in the story, but affects which character you can recruit.
Recruitable Units in Chapter 3 | |
---|---|
Heading to Aesfrost | Heading to Hyzante |
Rudolph Mueller
Chapter 3a: A Land of Snow and Ice |
Corentin Jennar
Chapter 3b: A Land of Sand and Sun |
The Scales will be used again during Chapter 7, and will determine what will happen to Roland during the next few chapters.
If you are aiming for the Golden Route, you can choose to either protect Roland or hand him over.
it should be noted, however, that surrendering Roland will remove him from your party and you will not be able to use him for a few chapters.
Another Voting scene will commence in Chapter 9. If you want to reach the Golden Route's ending, you must transport the illegal salt to Aesfrost. If you are aiming for other endings, then you can freely choose to report the salt trade.
If you chose to transport the illegal salt back in Chapter 9, you will have another vote during Chapter 10a whether if you want to reveal Roland's identity or not.
Revealing his identity is vital for the Golden Route ending, but if you are aiming for other endings, you can keep Roland's identity a secret.
In Chapter 11, Hyzante will ask you to hand over the Roselle. If you are aiming for the Golden Route ending, choose to defend the Roselle. Otherwise, you can freely give the Roselle away.
Once you reach Chapter 15, you will be able to recruit either Travis or Trish, the bandit father-and-daughter duo back from Chapter 1. Whoever joins your team will depend if you gave the Roselle away or not.
Hand over Roselle to Hyzante | Defend the Roselle |
---|---|
Recruit Travis | Recruit Trish |
Recruitment Guide:
How Many Characters Can You Recruit
Chapter 15's Voting phase will present you with three options. Whichever option you choose will determine who joins your party.
Take note that the Golden Route will only push through if you choose to return to Wolffort, but you will also obtain Avlora in the route later on.
Return to Wolffort | Remain in the Crown City | Investigate the Roselle Village |
---|---|---|
Recruit Milo | Recruit Cordelia | Recruit Travis/Trish |
Return to Wolffort, Stay in Crown City, or Visit Roselle Village
There are four main endings in Triangle Strategy. Each ending will depend on whether you followed the path to Morality, Utility, or Liberty throughout the game.
The fourth ending is accessible if you have obtained all the Golden Route flags, and will lead you to the Golden Route's ending.
