Demo Guide and Features: Does Demo Progress Carry Over?

This is a guide for the demo of Triangle Strategy available on the Nintendo Switch. Read on to find out all the features that are available in the demo and if your demo progress carries over!

How Long is the Demo?

3 to 4 Hours Long

The demo of Triangle Strategy covers the first three chapters of the game, which could take about three to four hours to complete.

It features three main battles (excluding Mental Mock Battles) and multiple dialogue choices that could potentially change the course of the story should you purchase the full game.

Max Level is Capped to 5 in the Demo

Another limitation of the demo other than its story length is that the level of your party are capped to 5.

You can easily max out your party to level 5 in the demo by participating in Mental Mock Battles at The Tavern upon unlocking it at the Encampment. Doing this will give you a slight edge should you buy the full game!

Battle System

Triangle Strategy is a turn-based strategy RPG presented in grids, much akin to games like Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy: Tactics.

Turn order is dependent on the character's speed as opposed to team-based turns like the Fire Emblem games.

Positioning is Crucial in Battle

Basics to Battle
Height Advantage	Attacks from higher ground than that of your target deal increased damage.
Back Attack	Attacks from behind are guaranteed to score a critical hit.
Follow-up Attack	When an enemy is struck with a physical attack, any allies on the opposite side of that enemy will perform a follow up attack.

These mechanics apply to your enemies as well.

You are encouraged to maneuver characters around multi-tiered battlefields to gain the upper hand by using the terrain to your advantage.

This can be done through enemy flanking or link elemental attacks to cause massive damage against your foes.

Your Decisions Shape the Story

Challenging Your Conviction

The protagonist Serenoa's decisions play a vital role in the outcome of the story. Throughout the demo, you will be given multiple dialogue choices that will shape Serenoa's conviction and views toward certain matters.

Make Big Decisions Using the Scales of Conviction

When Serenoa is faced to make a tough decision, he will consult the Scales of Conviction along with his party.

During this phase, the player can persuade their fellow party members to make a choice that would align their decisions.

Does Demo Progress Carry Over?

Upon finishing the demo, you can carry over your progress to the full game (whether digital or physical) upon release.

How to Transfer Save Data

To transfer your save data to the full game, it is recommended that you load your autosave data and save it in a location of your choice.

Step 1	Go to the Home Screen and choose Triangle Strategy.
Step 2	Once the game loads players will be asked if they want to use the demo save data. Choose yes.
Step 3	Players will the be able to load any of their saved data from the demo.
Step 4	After choosing a file, players will be able to continue where they left off.

A free-to-play demo for Triangle Strategy was released on the Nintendo eShop on February 9th, 2022.

The Triangle Strategy demo gives players a taste of the game's core gameplay mechanics, as well as an introduction to Serenoa's journey, which highlights the importance of his convictions to shape everything that comes his way.

Triangle Strategy will be released on March 4th, 2022 and is currently up for pre-orders.
