There are different types of terrain in Triangle Strategy. Places like Aesfrost have snow-covered terrain, while Hyzante has regularly traversed terrain.
Weather effects like rain can also affect terrain by turning the ground wet.
When hovering over any point of the battlefield, players will be able to see the specifics of the terrain from the right-hand corner of the screen.
From there players will know its terrain type, height, if they can be manipulated by magic, and bonus effects to defense and range.
When on Aesfrost and simlarly snow-covered terrain, a pyromancer like Frederica can use fire magic to melt the snow and turn it into a puddle.
On regular terrain, ice magic from Corentin can freeze over terrain and subsequently be turned into puddles using fire magic.

Similarly, areas on fire can be turned into puddles by using ice magic.
The best way to take advantage of terrain manipulation is to electrocute groups of enemies standing on puddles. Lightning magic will disperse over wet areas, damaging units on top of it.
Attacking your oppnents from greater heights will give your attacks more damage.
When using bow units, it's best to place them on rooftops for better range as well as being outside the range for swords and spears.
