How to Recruit Ezana
Joins Through Character Stories

Ezana joins through Character Stories. Characters who will join your party from Character Stories are affected by Serenoa's Conviction. You need to reach a certain number of points for Morality, Utility, and Liberty to get them. However, these values are hidden on your first playthrough. The only way for you to check how many points you have gathered for each is to finish your first playthrough and unlock New Game Plus.
You'll know a character story is available by checking its icon on the lower right section of the map. Press the + button to watch the character story and possibly recruit a new member of your team!
How to Increase Serenoa's Conviction
How to Increase Utility

How to Increase Liberty

Ezana's expertise in wind and lightning magic are very useful in a battle. You can use her wind magic to damage enemies and make them face the other direction so other units can land a back attack easily. Lightning can also do a lot of damage to multiple enemies at once given that there's water in the terrain.
Her ability to harness the weather is also a great advantage in battle!

Recommended Weapon Upgrades
Hardwood Staff
The passive skills Rainy Day, Lightning Damage Up and Raging Winds, Wind Damage Up is a perfect early pickup for Ezana as it synergizes well with her weather-changing abilities Rite of Rain and Rite of Tempests respectively.
Oak Staff
If you upgrade Ezana's weapon to rank 2, you can build up from the previously mentioned upgrades by getting Rite of Rain TP -1 and Rite of Tempests TP -1. This is essential to Ezana as she relies heavily on TP for her attacks and her skills that change the weather.
