If you are aiming for the Golden Route, it is necessary to protect the Roselle in Chapter 11 as it is one of the flags that are needed to successfully reach the story path later on in the game.
If you choose to deliver the Roselle to Hyzante, you will be locked out of the Golden Route and will not be able to see the ending of this story route. You need to load to a save file that has not yet diverged from the requirements or start the game from the beginning if you still want to pursue the Golden Route.

If you are not aiming for the Golden Route, it is still recommended to defend the Roselle to get Trish later in the game after making a specific decision.
The choice between giving up or protecting the Roselle will dictate which of the father-daughter bandit duo will join your party if you choose to travel to the Rosellan village in Chapter 15's voting phase.
Trish is a Bow user who can attack enemies from afar. Her abilities and weapon upgrades also makes her unit that can move around the map a lot while still being very useful.
You will also get more mileage if you choose Trish over Travis once you start a New Game Plus save. You can recruit his father on a future playthrough.
In order to recruit either Travis or Trish in Chapter 15, you need to persuade your party to travel to the Rosellan village. This will lock you out of the Golden Route, but you will be able to recruit one of the bandit duos after the battle phase.
Return to Wolffort, Stay in Crown City, or Visit Roselle Village
Jerrom is not a playable character in Triangle Strategy and therefore cannot be recruited regardless of the choices you make in the game.
